Cary Deuber Says Erika Jayne is ‘Shady,’ Pretentious, and ‘Not Very Nice’; Blames ‘Cancel Culture’ For RHOD’s Cancellation

Cary Deuber isn’t a fan of Miss Erika Jayne!

During an appearance on the Behind The Velvet Rope with David Yontef podcast, Cary took aim at the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star while also dishing on Bravo’s decision to press pause on the Dallas Housewives franchise permanently.

The former Real Housewives of Dallas star revealed that she first met Erika in New York City; she was “not very kind.”

Cary explains at an event that she saw Erika chatting with her RHOD costar LeeAnne Locken and decided to say hi.

“I said hi, and kind of sat with her, but she was not very nice,” Cary explained.

She added that she was “not really surprised” by Erika’s cold and dismissive attitude.

Cary admits she wasn’t a fan of Erika’s pretentious demeanor, noting that they are all Housewives and should be nice to each other.

“I’m a pretty good person, and I’m [a] pretty big deal in my own right,” she quipped while alleging that Erika clearly felt she was above her. “So I don’t deserve to be treated like that.”

She then threw shade at Erika for joining reality TV while having some major skeletons in her closet. Erika’s estranged husband Tom is accused of embezzling millions from his clients to fund their lavish lifestyle. Erika was allegedly given $25 million from Tom’s law firm to fund her music career and expensive taste in cars, clothes, and jewelry.

“Don’t be a shady person and have a shady personal life and go on a reality TV show,” she remarked. “To me, it seems pretty basic, you know?”

She also hinted that Erika might be getting a big old dose of Karma.

“I think if you are shady, then you might deserve to get caught if you’re doing shady things to other people,” Cary said, noting that it was just her “personal opinion.”

Meanwhile, Cary also shared her feelings on Bravo’s decision to cancel RHOD ahead of season 6.

She blames “cancel culture” for the show’s demise and says the show became “boring to watch” as the ladies continued to argue about the same issues week after week without any growth or resolve. She also noted that the RHOD cast had a feeling the franchise couldn’t be revived because things had gotten so “dirty and so gross.”

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo.
