Turns out there’s ice as well as diamonds running through Erika Jayne’s veins.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star found herself facing some harsh backlash after she tweeted a GIF that many Bravo fans found to be “insensitive” amid her and estranged husband Tom Girardi’s legal troubles.
“Go be offended at your own life,” Erika said in the GIF, which was a clip from RHOBH.
While some believe the GIF was a response to Kelly Dodd’s recent criticism while others thought it was a direct response to the ongoing scandal uncovered in HULU’s The Housewife and the Hustler documentary.
“You are not the victim in this story,” one fan wrote while another noted, “Even if you didn’t do it, why you acting like this? No empathy.”
Another added, “This is disgusting, disappointing, and incredibly insensitive.”
“I have no idea who your crisis PR firm is but your team is giving you bad advice. Whether or not you knew about Tom robbing clients, you should stop playing the victim and make some sort of statement in support of the actual victims with a commitment to support them somehow,” one fan commented while also adding, “It’s coming off very tone-deaf and delusional, even if that’s not the actual case, that’s how it’s reading on social media. We are talking about cancer patients, burn victims, plane crash survivors and the only public statements you’ve made are snarky GIFs and memes.”
Another fan quipped, “Thaw out that heart dear. Now is the time to be humble.”
