Bethenny Frankel may be ready to walk down the aisle again but she’s not making the same mistakes she did with ex-husband Jason Hoppy!
According to a new report, the former Real Housewives of New York star is preparing for anything and everything when it comes to her upcoming wedding to boyfriend Paul Bernon.
The Skinnygirl mogul wants to protect her $80 million fortune with an iron-clad prenup.
“She loves Paul more than anything and knows this is it, but she still feels they should have a prenup,” an insider tells InTouch. “She’s worth at least $80 million and wants to protect herself.”
As for Paul, he wasn’t happy with some of the finer points of the prenup so he and Bethenny are still working things out, notes the insider.
“A prenup is extremely practical. Both parties involved should know this by now. Hopefully, Paul’s feelings won’t stay hurt for too long.”
A source tells STAR, “Bethenny’s not stupid enough to walk into this without an iron-clad prenup. She’s got her lawyer working on the paperwork.”
“Bethenny’s seen how money can destroy relationships, and she doesn’t want that happening to her and Paul,” adds the insider, who is a close friend of the couple. “If he really loves her, he’ll sign on the dotted line.”
While Bethenny may want to protect her assets in the long run she’s willing to shell out some big bucks for upcoming nuptials.
Paul has reportedly given Bethenny carte blanche “to spend whatever she wants” on the wedding, a source tells OK! Magazine.
“She’s thinking 50,000 roses, champagne, gilt-edged classes, a garden setting with fountains, dancers, and a choir.”
The guest list will include Hollywood power players Ryan Murphy and Mark Cuban. As for Bethenny’s former Real Housewives New York co-stars many of them “will make the cut,” notes a source.
Bethenny “wants the event to be perfect and expects the best of everything,” adds the insider. “This wedding is going to set them back at least $10 million.”
