Two very familiar Bravo faces are not returning for Peacock’s Real Housewives of Miami re-boot.
A production source says that the timing doesn’t work for Lea as she spends half of the year living at her home in Los Angeles.
As for Joanna, she has no interest in returning to reality TV, plus she no longer lives in Miami, so it just doesn’t make sense for her to join the re-boot.
“In 8 years, I have grown a lot as a person, and my priorities in life have changed, especially after having an amazing little girl. I love to work, I have great and long-lasting TV shows in Poland, and I continue doing other projects,” Joanna tells TMZ.
She also says that Real Housewives isn’t the type of project she wants to be associated with at this point in her life.
“Women need to uplift and support each other, and I would never at this point in my life consider doing a show that would cause me stress and engage in unnecessary drama. I wish everyone luck and the huge success that will be part of the reboot,” she explains.
Former stars Marysol Patton and Lisa Hochstein are reportedly angling for a spot on the re-boot. At the same time, another source claims that Larsa Pippen and Alexia Echevarria are also interested in returning to the franchise.
The Miami-based Housewives franchise initally ran for three seasons from February 2011 to November 2013. Lea was a part of the show from its inception, while Joanna starred in seasons 2 and 3 of the show.
Other names being tossed around as possible castmembers include Phil Collins’ ex-wife Orianne Cevey, singer Paula Rubio.
“I hear everyone, and their mother is auditioning,” an insider told Page Six last week, noting that “Some young, fresh, unknown, rich young housewives with lots of money and amazing homes” are lining up to join the show.
A premiere date hasn’t been announced.
