The Real Housewives of Miami re-boot is officially returning to Peacock!
NBCUniversal’s streaming service Peacock announced on Wednesday at the Television Critics Association Press Tour that RHOM would be joining their lineup.
Andy Cohen will be serving as an executive producer which is only fitting as he has pushed to bring the failed franchise back to life.
Page Six reports that several former Miami Housewives are vying to join the cast along with some new blood.
“I hear everyone, and their mother is auditioning,” an insider told Page Six.
Former stars Marysol Patton and Lisa Hochstein are reportedly angling for a spot on the re-boot. At the same time, another source claims that Larsa Pippen and Alexia Echevarria are also interested in returning to the franchise.
“Some young, fresh, unknown, rich young housewives with lots of money and amazing homes” are also looking to join the show.
Other names being tossed around as possible castmembers include Phil Collins’ ex-wife Orianne Cevey, singer Paula Rubio.
The Miami-based Housewives franchise initally ran for three seasons from February 2011 to November 2013 and starred Lea Black, Joanna Krupa, Larsa Pippen, and Lisa Hochstein. Rumor has it both Joanna and Lea have already made it known that they have no interest in being apart of the RHOM re-boot.
A premiere date hasn’t been announced.
