One of the original OC housewives, Jo De La Rosa revealed that her father passed away from Covid-19. Despite, not having to have spoke to her father in more than 15 years, Jo admitted she was “shattered” and had never “cried more tears.” Jo’s father passed away at the age of 63 after contracting the virus, and Jo made a loving tribute to him on her Instagram Page, in a video titled ‘The Story of Us.’ In addition to the video, Jo added the caption: “It is with the heaviest of hearts I share I lost my dad to covid last week. This pandemic has been life-changing for many people and unfortunately, covid won this time. My father, Juan Carlos Contreras, was only 63.”

Jo had not spoken to her father in over a decade; however found comfort in the fact that she reached out while he was in the hospital, stating:
“He could do no wrong in my eyes and although my heart is filled with so much love for him, it’s also shattered and feels so heavy for not being able to reconcile sooner. That’s as much as my heart can share about our situation but I sent him an email when I found out he was in the hospital. In it, I told him I loved him and I wanted him back in my life.”
Despite not being able to speak with him before he passed, Jo holds on to her faith at this time, adding:
“To my dad – I love you. I forgive you. You meant absolutely everything to me. I can’t wait to see you when God finally calls me and says it’s time. All I want is to be able to tell you see you again and tell you these words face to face…”
Thoughts and prayers to Jo and her family – I can’t imagine the pain she is feeling from having her father taken too soon.
The RHOC reunion part two airs tonight on Bravo.
