Gretchen Rossi Slammed for Tacky MLK Day Instagram Post!

Leave it to Gretchen Rossi to make a MLK quote all about her.

In an extremely cringe-worthy post, the former OC housewife chose a bizarre (and distasteful) way to celebrate MLK Day by posting what looked to be a sponsored ad. The photo showed Gretchen in full glam tagging a flower company that sent her a bouquet (most likely hoping she would tag them on Instagram for free publicity.) Instead of just thanking them for the flowers, the former Bravoleb attempted to turn it into a tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King by captioning the photo with one of his quotes. Take a look at the post below:

Fans quickly attacked Gretchen for the tacky post, which made Gretchen go on the defense and attempt to defend herself. Gretchen denied that she was paid for the post and later un-tagged the flower company; however, she refused to apologize.

Responding to fans, Gretchen stated, “This is not a paid or sponsored post!! I simply just tagged the company that sent me flowers! Maybe you need to re-read what Martin Luther King said because clearly, you need to practice it more.”

Gretchen then went on to call her critics “tools” (how old is she?) by going on the attack, adding:

“You guys are serious tools! This is not a sponsored post! I can’t even post a picture with flowers that were sent to me without you all making some ridiculous assumptions. Go practice what his quote actually says.”

If Gretchen wanted to honor Dr. Martin Luther King, she should have done a separate post that wasn’t about her or her free bouquet. It comes off tone-deaf (especially after the year we’ve had regarding the fight for social justice.) Advice for Gretchen: An apology can go a long way!

RHOC reunion part two airs Wednesday on Bravo.

Thoughts on her post? Do you think it was tone deaf?
