Lights, camera, action!
Sadly viewers won’t meet Teresa’s new boyfriend when season 11 of RHONJ starts to air.
However, a source tells The Sun that he’s open to filming for the next season of the show if he and Teresa are still together when the cameras begin rolling.
“He has not been on camera,” the source explained. “The season wrapped when they were at a place where that would’ve been too early.”
“The show is going to want to get to know him next year,” the source added.
As for Teresa, she’s excited for fans to see her new, happier life on RHONJ after having documented some “very difficult” moments in her personal life over the last several years.
Teresa and her ex-husband Joe let Bravo document their various legal woes, including their prison sentences. The RHONJ OG was released from prison in December 2015 after serving an 11-month sentence for fraud. Months later, Joe entered prison and completed his 41-month sentence in March 2019.
Yet, Joe wasn’t able to simply come home post-prison. He was transferred to ICE custody and later deported to his native Italy in October 2019. Joe’s various appeals were all denied, and by April 2020, Joe had officially given up his fight to return to the United States.
In December 2019, Joe and Teresa also revealed they would be officially ending their 20-year marriage. Their divorce was finalized in September 2002.
On top of all of this, Teresa lost her mother in March 2017 and her father in April 2020.
When it comes to season 11 of RHONJ, the insider says fans will see a happier Teresa on the show.
“She is extremely excited to finally be happy on the show and be happy in her life. She’s very happy about being happy. Everyone is happy for her. You’re going to see that play out next season on the show. She has a new lease on life, being happy,” the source reveals.
“I think she’s going to be excited to share her next chapter of love and happiness with the show,” added the insider.
According to the source, Teresa’s four daughters Gia, 19, Gabriella, 16, Milania, 15, and Audriana, 11, “like” Luis,
“Things are moving at a great pace. They’re both very happy with one another. Everyone is good. He’s looking for love and happiness. She’s looking for love and happiness. They found each other. They found love and happiness together. Everyone who knows them can see it,” the sources notes of the happy couple.
The insider adds that Teresa and Luis are “not in any rush” to get engaged, as their romance is “still very, very new.”
“They’re going to let things progress how they progress. They’re going the distance,” the source said.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey is set to return to Bravo on Wednesday, February 17, at 9 p.m. ET.
