The former Real Housewives of Atlanta OG encouraged fans not to “not support” CNN’s New Year’s Eve countdown special hosted by Andy and his good friend Anderson Cooper.
“Be Smart and DO NOT SUPPORT count down shows TONIGHT that aren’t supporting or respecting BLACK WOMEN creativity/equality and blacklisting us from working if we speak the truth abt their wrongdoings,” NeNe said on December 31 via Twitter.
She then vowed to protest and “march” outside Bravo’s studios while also dubbing the network “racist.”
“In 2021, we will form a march outside of these racist studios,” NeNe promised.
In recent weeks, NeNe has encouraged fans to “turn off your TVs” and “boycott Bravo.”
“Let’s start it! What are we waiting for? A lot has happened, and support is much needed. We all need must stick together in all racial discrimination situations. The viewers’ eyes were tricked,” NeNe tweeted in December 2020.
She continued, “Y’all ready to start this boycott yet? What has happened behind the scenes is WRONG! While others were being promoted, BLACK WOMEN who created shows, created genres, built franchises, and built networks were being DEMOTED…TURN OFF YOUR TV’S.”
“They have forced me out of the franchise; we will get to that in another video,” NeNe said on YouTube. “So, since I have been forced out of the franchise, then leave my name alone. Let me sit over here and heal in peace. Leave me alone. If you don’t have anything positive to say about me working for your network after 13 years, stop bringing up my name on your show to help your ratings. Stop it. You don’t want me here; you’ve been forcing me out for the last four years. There’s no reason why you need to keep bringing me up and talking so negatively of me if I don’t mean shit to you.”
Meanwhile, she also claimed that Andy is racist.
“This is a conversation that he and I and people involved are going to have to deal with behind [the] scenes. All I can do is take you back to one of my old sayings, ‘I said what I said,” NeNe said during an interview with ExtraTV.
“The racist is the master manipulator! They using me for ratings like they have always done,” NeNe tweeted about Andy on Sunday, September 27.
Bravo and Andy have yet to respond to any of NeNe’s claims publicly.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs on Sundays at 8 pm EST on Bravo.
