The drama started when Kenya questioned Porsha’s social activism with Black Lives Matter. In 2020, Porsha was arrested several times in Louisville, Kentucky, while protesting the murder of Breyonna Taylor.
In a preview for an upcoming episode of the Real Housewives of Atlanta, Kenya can be heard shading Porsha’s latest arrest while talking with Kandi Burruss.
“Has anyone talked to Porsha? I know she was arrested – again,” Kenya quips.
“Why’d you say it like that?” Kandi asks to which Kenya replies, “Because, at this point, it seems like maybe they are putting themselves in a position to be arrested.”
Porsha clapped back at Kenya’s dig on Instagram while also praising her friend, Tamika D Mallory, for always having her back.
“It really is sad that this had to be addressed. Thank you, @tamikadmallory, my leader, and my sister in the struggle for all you do first and for most! However, I will say this I am on Rhoa, and most of the show is for entertainment, but when it comes to BLM, let me be clear I will not be Reading anyone, I will not be shading anyone, I will not stoop down and give weight nor battle the topic of BLM with a fellow black woman on TV! I take it very serious, so all I will say is Kenya, I will pray for you over the holidays, and maybe even I can be a beacon of light in your dark heart when it comes to anything Porsha-related, or maybe I can enlighten you on the act of *Civil disobedience. I truly hope that in next week’s episode, you are not questioning nor belittling the efforts of the very brave women and men all over the world who stood up and said No justice, No peace and have to fight because innocent black men and women are being killed! I know we can do better than this. Let’s stay focused !!! VOTE VOTE VOTE #Louisville87 #GoodTrouble,” Porsha wrote.
This post resulted in Kenya responding and throwing some more shade at Porsha.
Kenya called Porsha out for fighting violence against black women all-while supporting Monique Samuels amid her physical altercation with RHOP co-star Candiace Dillard.
“Fake: If you fight for violence against a black woman except [for] the ones who deserved it,” Kenya wrote on Instagram stories.
She didn’t stop there and then posted a very long drag of both Porsha and Porsha’s friend Tamika.
“Thank you, Queen, for your comment to me, But my eyes and ears and my magna cum laude education are my only friends-not Google. I respect all the real and important work you do, and BTW, I was correct,” Kenya wrote on December 23 via her Instagram Story.
“Since many are fans of RHOA, let’s watch the entire season and decide what is real or fake-not just a clip from an episode yet-to-be-aired,” she continued.
Kenya then accused Porsha of getting involved in the BLM movement for selfish reasons, including rehabbing her “bad image.”
“I’m not here to write a book/get ahead of a bad storyline/play victim/use a good cause to help a bad image,” Kenya said. “Speaking of Porsha, as a person you have always looked up to and always copies, you can’t educate me on anything but how to install a good lace front and be a freak. (no shade as YOU said before the dark heart comment). Please drive your ‘hate Kenya train’ onto the same tracks as the underground railroad you thought existed [five] minutes ago.”
She also claimed the Porsha begged RHOA producers to cut out footage of Kandi’s work with BLM from season 13 from the show.
“Or when you begged producers to cut out you being bothered by Kandi making progress for #BLM on our behalf,” Kenya claimed. “We see you for real.”
Kenya then accused Porsha of excluding “cast members” from her “voting PSA.”
She wrapped by adding the hashtags: “fake,” “pray for real,” “no violence means no violence,” “watch and see,” and “don’t come for me.”
The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs on Sundays at 8 pm EST on Bravo.
