Fans were left with their jaws on the floor after part 1 of the season 5 reunion after Monique Samuels made some shocking claims about Gizelle and Jamal’s “relationship.”
After Karen Huger brought up rumors that Gizelle and Jamal’s reconciliation was all for the TV cameras, Monique grabbed her binder of secrets and read text messages between Jamal and a female pastor he allegedly had a relationship with.
In one text message, Jamal allegedly claimed that his relationship with Gizelle was just for TV. Monique further proved the texts were from Jamal when she shared his phone number aloud, which Gizelle confirmed.
Monique wrapped by calling Gizelle a fraud and called Jamal “Pastor Holy Whore.”
Now, Jamal and Gizelle are speaking out.
Jamal addressed the claims made at the reunion in a very messy and confusing 21-minute Facebook Live video.
When it comes to those text messages from his ex-girlfriend, Jamal said, “There’s some clarity that needs to happen. I’m not married; I’m not engaged. Some of you have a strong relationship with language. You can’t have a mistress while you’re single. So I never had a mistress. Of consequence, she has never been to visit me in Atlanta. Never been to New Birth, never been in my home. I’ve never been in her home.”
Jamal added that he has some text messages he can share as well that tell the whole story. He also insists nothing “immoral” happened between him and the woman, adding that things “did not work out” between them.
As for Monique, Jamal said he’s never met her nor “shook her hand.”
The New Birth Missionary Baptist pastor then threw shade at Monique’s husband, Chris Samuels, and his reunion antics. Jamal claims that he’s encouraging his audience to watch part 2 of the season 5 reunion to see Chris’ outlandish behavior.
“On Sunday, for the first time in five years, I’m inviting my audience to watch the reunion, Housewives of Potomac, where you’ll see Monique’s husband try to attack my wife, my ex-wife, and Robyn. And security had to be called, and he had to be subdued. I am very concerned. Monique, you all have my phone number as you expressed on the show, but I had you all’s address. And because of grace, I didn’t respond to that,” he explained in the video. “Chris, you’ve got to take care of CTE.”
He then claimed that some of Chris’ former NFL teammates had reached out to him.
“Some of your former teammates contacted me. They’re concerned. They said Jamal, please, don’t respond because CTE is a progressive, degenerative disease from a history of trauma to the brain.”
The Atlanta-based pastor then made another accusation, “And so just last week, you had an outbreak, again, of verbally assaulting a black woman in Safeway. We have the footage of that.”
He continued, “I’ve tracked down your pastor so that all I’m saying is in love so that your pastor can get the help that is needed. And that is necessary.”
Jamal didn’t stop there and then addressed Gizelle’s father, Curtis Graves, slamming him on RHOP.
“It was disparaging remarks made by my father in law, Mr. Curtis Graves, who is 83 years of age. He’s 83 years of age, and unlike many, I was raised old school. And you never disrespect elders. I honor him. He’s an amazing man that’s had incredible accomplishments. And he has every right to feel protective over his daughter,” he said.
To conclude, Jamal let it be known that he has always disagreed with Gizelle being apart of the RHOP cast. He admits he regrets appearing on the show and revealed that he would never appear on the franchise again.
“I have long since not been an advocate for many reality television shows because I don’t think it represents the best of who we are,” Jamal explained. “Nor does it advance our progress, our maturity, and our brilliance.”
“A bone of contention between Gizelle and I for years was about her participation in the show. And how it is that I did not support it. In baby steps of reconciliation, I agreed to be on it, against my better judgment, against my wisdom, and even against my convictions. I wholeheartedly regret participating, and I want you to know that I will never be on Housewives of Potomac or anything in that franchise ever again,” he continued.

Meanwhile, Gizelle is also speaking out. The RHOP OG chatted with DailyMail.com and addressed the accusations made by Monique at the season 5 reunion.
According to Gizelle, she and Jamal are “fine.” She also claims that Monique’s accusations were nothing more than a deflection from her own bad behavior during season 5.
“I just felt like it was a huge deflection,” she explained. “She has a lot of answering to do herself with regards to her behavior this season. No, Jamal and I are fine. No one can tell us about our relationship, so we’re fine. I was just like, ‘Wow, you ladies are really angry! You all are really mad at Gizelle! Don’t know why, but okay!”‘
As for Monique’s accusations about Jamal, Gizelle admits she’s wasn’t entirely surprised by the claims.
“She said that she was going to do it. I knew she was going to try [to] pull some trick out. It just made me feel like, ‘Wow, you had time to put together a scrapbook, and a scrapbook of deflection.’ It was kind of sad for her. You’re going through all this for what?”
Part 2 of the RHOP season five reunion airs Sunday, December 20, at 9/8c on Bravo.
