Off the market!
For the last several years, Melissa and Joe Gorga have tried to unload their Montville mansion with little to no success, but that has all changed as the Real Housewives of New Jersey couple has FINALLY sold their home for $2.9M. This news comes four months after the reality TV couple put their home back on the market.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey star announced the happy news on Monday night via Instagram.
“Our family home for the last 12 years is Officially Sold. We’ve made so many memories in this home. We were blessed to be able to share so many of them with all of you, @bravotv & the #RHONJ viewers. I love that I can always watch the reruns and remember the good times we had in it. I’m excited to start new beginnings with my family. Have to give a shout-out to @njlux for being the best in the business!! Gets the job done every time! #memoriesforever,” Melissa wrote alongside several photos of her home.
Meanwhile, Melissa and Joe’s real estate agent NJ Lux boasted about the sale on Instagram.
“JUST SOLD!!! After being on and off the market for over a decade with other realtors, I increased both the marketing and the listing price, and it is with great pleasure that I announce my luxury listing located at 8 Pond View in Montville, NJ, has Just Sold after just 4 months on the market! Congratulations to my amazing sellers @melissagorga and @joeygorga and to the buyers on their new home,” the Instagram post read.
The RHONJ couple’s 6 bedroom, 7.5 bath estate boasts “meticulously landscaped grounds, a luxurious pool area with stone patio, outdoor kitchen, and a lower level built for entertaining.”
It also features a “gourmet kitchen with center island and high-end appliances, a 2-story great room with Juliet balcony, library, billiard room, home theater” as well as a “full, finished basement with a gym, screening room, walk-in wine cellar, bar, salon, recording studio and children’s area.”
The home was initially listed in October of 2017 for $3.5 million but was then taken off the market. The RHONJ couple then re-listed the property for $3.29 million a year later and de-listed it in February. Melissa and Joe then re-listed the home in April 2019 for $2.948 million before taking it off the market again in November 2019.
It’s unclear where Joe and Melissa plan to move once they sell their home. Melissa has hinted about moving to Los Angeles, but that’s unlikely since Melissa continues to star on RHONJ. It’s more likely that the family will move to a new, perhaps smaller, home in the Montville/Franklin Lakes area.
The two also own a million-dollar shore home on the water in Toms River that they’ve entirely renovated.
