As the country is looking at a scary surge in COVID cases, not even those in Beverly Hills are immune to the concerning spike. Reports have been stating that production for the upcoming season of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has been halted due to a COVID outbreak, and now Garcelle Beauvais is giving fans an update as to what is going on with the cast.
In an exclusive with ET regarding an upcoming episode of The Real, Garcelle reportedly spent Thanksgiving, which also happened to be her birthday, isolated due to a crew member testing positive for Covid-19:
“We shot for Housewives on Tuesday, Tuesday night we got home and found out that a few people in our crew tested positive for COVID.”
Garcelle and her castmates all have to quarantine for 14 days, with Garcelle revealing that her 13-year-old twin sons, Jaid and Jax, are temporarily staying with their father.
Garcelle continued stating: “We do all the protocols. We get tested at least three times a week. We get tested before we shoot. You know, my kids get tested, I get tested, anybody who’s in my household, and you know, we did the right things, but at the same time, it just shows you that this virus — you can touch something, you can… you know, it’s not necessarily just from people.”
Garcelle, who also stars on The Real, is filming the daytime talk show from home and confirmed that she has no symptoms. Despite concerns about the virus while filming takes place, Garcelle admits she is also getting anxious from filming pertaining to the ‘sophomore curse.’ Per Garcelle: “That’s what I’m afraid of. So, here we go, you know? And I sorta got a warning from Ms. Rinna, so we’ll see. I’m ready, though, bring it.”
