Single and ready to mingle!
Meghan King and her boyfriend, Christian Schauf, have split after nearly six months of dating.
On Monday, November 30, E! News was the first to announce that Meghan and Christian recently broke up.
“He couldn’t take all the social media and public attention,” the source shared. “He ended it shortly after her COVID diagnosis and all the attention that went with it.”
The former Real Housewives of Orange County star revealed that she was diagnosed with COVID-19 on November 15.
Meghan later confirmed her split from Christian on her Instagram stories.
According to the former reality TV star, she and Christian “decided to part ways in the most loving and healthy way.”
“We just got off the phone laughing at how to ‘announce’ this,” she continued, “and he suggested some cute, sappy breakup quote. I agreed, so here ya go!”
As for Christian, he later clarified claims that he ended things with Meghan because he “couldn’t take all the social media and public attention.”
He told Page Six, the E! News article is “pretty inaccurate.”
“I’ve never had any problem with any form of publicity,” he explained. “We lead very different lives and knew that when we met. Sometimes this happens. I wish nothing but the best for Meghan and the kids, and we’re on good terms.”
Meghan and Christian first began dating in March 2020 after meeting on a dating app. The two confirmed their relationship two months later, in May 2020.
The Real Housewives of Orange County airs on Wednesdays at 9 pm EST on Bravo.
