Andy Cohen Predicts Vanderpump Rules Will Be More ‘Real’ Without Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute Plus Kristen Claps Back While Pointing Out the Flaws In Andy’s Claims

When and if Vanderpump Rules returns for season 9, the show will be down four of its main castmembers. Not many fans will care about the loss of newbies Brett Caprioni and Max Boyens; however, the same can’t be said for OGs Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute.

Yet, Andy Cohen thinks that Pump Rules will be just fine without Stassi and Kristen.

“People were really [harping] on what was real and what was maybe a leap about the last season,” Andy said on the Thursday, November 5, episode of the “Everything Iconic With Danny Pellegrino” podcast. “I think that what has been so brilliant about Vanderpump Rules and why that show is so hard for all the other people who tried to do it, to replicate it … these people all knew each other for so long, and all worked for Lisa [Vanderpump] for so long. … It seemed like people were [focused on], ‘Does [this] person really work there and why are they going to Lisa’s to make Pride signs?’ … I think where it goes is … I think they’re going to have real drama built into her reopening this restaurant after a pandemic.”

In June 2020, Bravo cut ties with Stassi and Kristen after racially insensitive comments from their past resurfaced.

Bravo has yet to officially announced the return of Pump Rules for season 9; however, Andy believes Stassi and Kristen’s absence will create a natural storyline on the show.

“I actually think in an odd way that’s going to create a lot of story that is absolutely real, and they’ll be able to lean into it. And frankly, Stassi and Kristen didn’t work there anymore,” Andy said. “And they’re both brilliant characters on television. I think it will be interesting to see whose there and whose not and what’s really happening. I think they’ll have a better time doing that, and they’ll be a lot of built stuff that’s actually happening.”

On the other hand, Kristen disagreed and reacted to Andy’s predictions on her Instagram stories.

“It will not ‘create a lot of story that is absolutely real’ because our friends won’t speak on our behalf,” Kristen pointed out.

She continued, “Also, almost no one works at SUR. Just FYI.”

However, Kristen does appreciate Andy saying she and Stassi were “brilliant characters on television.”

“But I appreciate Andy saying we were great on the show,” she concluded.

It’s unclear when Bravo will begin filming for season 9 of Vanderpump Rules.
