It looks like the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills rumor mill got it wrong yet again!
According to one Bravo insider, Tori Spelling will NOT be joining the season 11 cast of RHOBH. This confirmation comes days after rumors began swirling that the former BH 90210 star would be joining the Real Housewives franchise as a friend.
Brice Sander, the Chief Real Housewives correspondent at Entertainment Tonight, confirms that Tori is NOT joining RHOBH.
“Because I keep seeing account after account post: Tori Spelling is NOT joining #RHOBH, crushing all of our dreams of her visiting the hibachi grill where the fall happened with Dorit,” Brice tweeted on October 20.
As for why Bravo and Andy Cohen won’t be giving Tori a diamond, Brice says that the network seems to be taking a break from hiring “actresses as Housewives.”
Instead, Bravo is going back to their original formula of hiring “unfamous women with money.”
“I think they’re going to take a break from actresses-as-Housewives for a bit. The other casting rumors seem to be a return to the original theme, un-famous women with money,” he added.
Garcelle quickly became a fan favorite and even announced her return for season 11 of the show; however, an insider now claims that she is leaving after Bravo failed to meet her salary demands.
A source close to production revealed, “Garcelle wanted a big raise to be on the show. She didn’t get one, and so she’s walking. It’s not worth it to her.”
The report also claims that Tori Spelling will replace Garcelle. We now know Tori isn’t joining RHOBH, so I’m not sure I believe there’s any truth to this report.
On Thursday, October 7, Garcelle confirmed her return for season 11 of RHOBH while chatting with Entertainment Tonight.
“I am returning to the Housewives, yes,” Garcelle revealed. “You know, you gotta be a little, a little brave. A little scared. A little ready. I mean, it’s all those things, and I say it with a laugh because I’m ready, but you’re never really ready.”
On top of that, Paul ‘PK’ Kemsley also confirmed which Beverly Hills Housewives are returning for season 11.
On Instagram, PK shared a photo of Kyle Richards, Erika Girardi, Lisa Rinna, Dorit Kemsley, and Garcelle.
“This squad [is] coming in hard for season 11 of #RHOBH. I’m sending good vibes and good wishes to all the ladies as they embark on their next journey,” PK captioned the photo collage.
Word on the street is Sutton Stracke will also be returning as a friend of the Housewives. Per The Rumor Mill podcast, Sutton’s contract has an “option to be promoted” to a full-time Housewife, “depending on how her storyline develops.”
Kathy Hilton has also reportedly signed on as a friend of the Housewives.
Season 11 of RHOBH won’t be all familiar faces as Bravo has plans to add some new blood into the mix.
Speaking of new blood, Crystal Minkoff is reportedly joining RHOBH. According to one source, Crystal is is “90% confirmed to be a full-time diamond holder.”
