As the daughter of famed TV producer Aaron Spelling, Tori Spelling grew up as Beverly Hills royalty. She lived the 90210-lifestyle in real life and on the TV screen.
So it’s only fitting that she’s rumored to be joining the season 11 cast of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
According to Celeb Magazine, “Hollywood superstar Tori Spelling is set to join the exciting next season” of RHOBH as a “friend of” the Housewives.
The former 90210 star’s mom, Candy Spelling, will also appear on the show alongside her daughter.
Candy is rumored to have some beef with Kathy Hilton, who is reportedly also joining the season 11 cast of RHOBH as a friend.
“Tori Spelling is doing Beverly Hills’ Housewives with her mom, Candy,” the insider revealed. “People who have followed Tori know her relationship with her mom has been contentious for many years. Kathy Hilton – Kyle Richards‘ and Kim Richards‘ sister- is also expected to join, and she has some issues with Candy as well. Tori is expected to join in a similar vein to Kathy – specifically as a friend of the Housewives. Tori is also expected to come on as Kyle’s friend.”
This isn’t the first time rumors have swirled about Tori joining RHOBH. Over the years, Tori has made it clear she’d love to join the reality TV franchise; however, Bravo has never taken the bait and brought her on board.
In 2019, Tori confirmed that she was NOT joining RHOBH and has NEVER been asked to join the show despite rumors claiming otherwise.
“That [rumor] keeps following me, and I’ve always said I’m just a huge fan. But no, not at all. I’m friends with so many of them, and I’m a huge fan. I always say I watch the show. But no, I have never asked to be on the show,” Tori told E! News in December 2019.
Tori also joked that she doesn’t know if she would fit and that she “would get eaten alive on that show.”
She added, “I’m too nice. The drama I like is like my family chaos at home and like, you know who’s watching what and who wants to eat what for dinner? I can’t deal with girl drama.”
However, months prior, in August 2019, Erika Girardi said she would be down for Tori joining RHOBH.
“Well, I mean, if there’s anybody that says Beverly Hills, it’s Tori Spelling,” Erika admitted on The Jenny McCarthy Show podcast.
She explained, “You never know what happens when you put two people together. You know, sometimes, you would imagine that you would get along with someone, and you don’t, so you never know.”
Only time will tell if this report is true, but it’s most likely false if history is any indication.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is expected to return for season 11 in mid-2021.
