Pour yourself a cup because the tea is piping hot in Potomac!
On Sunday night Monique Samuels dropped a few bombshells as an all-new episode of the Real Housewives of Potomac aired on Bravo.
“I only recently filed the charges,” Candiace explained. “The goal is for the court system to do what the court system needs to do.”
When Gizelle Bryant brought up the face that Monique could face 5-12 years in prison, Candiace nonchalantly replied, “Yeah.”
Gizelle then added, “We don’t want her to go to jail” to which a surprised Candiace responded, “We don’t?”
“I think there should be consequences,” Candiace’s mother Dorothy Stuns added.
Fans didn’t get to hear Monique’s side of things at all during Sunday’s episode however she instead told her truth on Twitter.
In a series of tweets, Monique revealed that she tried to arrange a mediation with Candiace and her lawyer “several times” but they “refused” She also claimed that Candiace never wanted an apology and only wanted money.
Monique also claimed Candiace and her lawyer planned to sue Monique for millions of dollars.
“After I had the meeting with my pastor, I received this email. My attorney advised that I only speak to Candice with him present. We asked several times for a mediation sit down and she and her attorney REFUSED. She didn’t want to hear an apology! She wanted money #RHOP,” Monique tweeted.
She continued, “When my attorney said no we’re not paying her anything because this was not an “attack” or an “assault” but a “mutually consented” altercation (a warning to back up was given followed by her egging on by saying “what you gon do? You gon drag me?”), her attorney’s response was…Well, we’re going to sue Monique for MILLIONS and bravo will capture it all!” Then they filed the complaint. Then I countered. Then the state threw both charges out. The End.”
As proof, Monique shared an email allegedly from Candiace’s lawyer.
Meanwhile, Monique defended sharing this information on Twitter after one fan called her “gross” for doing so.
“My posts are the only way for me to tell the other side since I’m barely in the episode. Meanwhile, everyone else gets to tell their side on national TV. But I’m gross?” Monique fired back.
RHOP airs on Sundays at 9/8c on Bravo.
