As we previously reported, actress Drew Sidora and Canadian YouTube star Latoya Ali are both getting peaches for season 13.
“LaToya is in here, she is definitely in the mix,” Cynthia dishes to Entertainment Tonight. “She’s a fun addition to the show. She has a very interesting life, which you guys will see all that play out, but more than anything, she’s a little spitfire. She has a lot to say. She’s cute as a button, she’s a businesswoman, as well. Super, super, super cute. So, yeah, Latoya’s definitely all up in the mix.”
Rumor has it, Latoya’s estranged husband, Adam Ali, made filming difficult for the newbie as he didn’t want certain things about their split/life filmed.
As for Drew, Cynthia says, “Drew kind of got a little bit of a late start with some issues that she was having, but you guys will all see that play out, as well.”
She adds, “But now she’s very much in the mix now. And she’s an amazing lady; she has a great family. … I think Drew is also an amazing addition to the show.”
Drew and LaToya will be joined by the “core four,” aka Kandi Burruss, Kenya Moore, Cynthia Bailey, and Porsha Williams, who are all returning for another season of drama. Marlo Hampton and Tanya Sam will also reprise their roles as friends of the Housewives.
OG NeNe Leakes, on the other hand, won’t be back. NeNe announced her exit from RHOA in September after months of negotiations with Bravo. She later accused the network and Andy Cohen of forcing her off the franchise.
“I was surprised,” Cynthia says of NeNe’s departure. “You always have to give NeNe her props just in terms of being one of the first, being on the forefront of the show, helping to create the platform so that someone like myself and Eva could be a part of it. She’s great for the show. I’ve always thought she was great for the show. Even when we weren’t friends, and she was coming from my wig. I still thought she was good for the show.”
She admits it’s distressing to watch the aftermath of NeNe’s exit playout on social media.
“I was just kind of sad watching her leave,” Cynthia admits. “I wish people would just allow her the process to just go, ‘Yes, I’m going through [something].’ Maybe she doesn’t have to do it on social media, maybe she could kind of take it in and go through what she’s going through, but she’s entitled to that process.”
Season 13 reportedly wrapped filming over the weekend.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta will return to Bravo for season 13 in late 2020 or early 2021.
