On October 5, Jax Taylor went live on Instagram, claiming that Vanderpump Rules would start filming season 9 at the end of the month.
“Uhh, we’re supposed to go back to filming,” Jax claimed. “Vanderpump Rules is supposed to go back to filming. In fact, we are supposed to go back to filming this month. I think – that’s the last I heard.”
He continued, “It just a matter of when they are going to allow us.”
This news basically confirmed season 9 of Pump Rules and Jax’s return to the show.
However, it turns out none of this is true.
Kate Aurthur, Editor-At-Large for Variety, tweeted, “According to Bravo, neither of these things is true.”

The fate of Vanderpump Rules has been up in the air for months since the firing of Stassi Schroder, Kristen Doute, Max Boyens, and Brett Caprioni in June 2020 for their past racist actions/tweets.
Many fans have called for Jax to be fired by Bravo for his past racist and homophobic behavior.
As you know, Stassi and Kristen were fired for their past racist actions against former co-star Faith Stowers.
Jax also engaged in racist and targeted attacks towards Faith on social media, yet he still seems to be employed by Bravo.
On Twitter, Jax accused Faith of being “wanted by the police for grand theft auto.” He also claimed that Faith was “awol” from the military.
Meanwhile, 90 Day Fiance’s Ashley Martson called Jax out for making racist comments about her husband, Jay Smith’s nose.
“Your man’s nose is the size of his head…” Jax wrote.
Also, former Pump Rules star Billie Lee accused Jax of being transphobic and spreading rumors that she was hooking up with Tom Sandoval. Billie says Jax pretended to be an ally to her on camera, but off-camera, he acted like “being trans is gross.”
It’s unclear if Bravo will renew Vanderpump Rules for season 9.
