“NYC is filled with successful and dynamic Black women. I’m excited to join this legendary franchise as the first Black housewife,” she said in a statement to TMZ on Thursday. “Can’t wait to share a slice of life in this city that hasn’t been seen before. Anyone who’s aware of my work knows I don’t hold back. I’m going to keep it just as real here as I do everywhere else.”
The 37-year-old North Carolina native earned her law degree at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. After receiving her degree, Eboni specialized in family law and civil litigation.

I’m grateful AF. Growing up as the only child to a single mom, I was incredibly lonely. I literally talked to myself and I REALLY thought Lisa Turtle, Rudy Huxtable, and Kelly Taylor were my real life friends. Lame, I know. ????? As I grew up and formed deep friendships with women, I remain incredibly grateful for my relationships with women. Through a difficult adolescence, stressful collegiate experience, turbulent career journey, failed marriage, and maternal estrangement….the women in my inner circle have held me DOWN. I threw a Pretty Powerful Champagne reception to celebrate women. Specifically, themes of sisterhood, women’s empowerment, anti-mean girl movements, and womanly peer-mentorship. @angelayee (one of my peer mentors) graciously moderated a conversation that highlighted femininity as strength, and the REQUIREMENT of more than one of us occupying a particular space at the same time. There are a million white men in every industry…why do we as women (and black women in particular) subscribe to the belief that there can only be “one” of us at a time???!! Times up on that shit and I rebuke it in His name??. We poured out our insecurities (don’t get started on what my momma said about my edges?) and concluded the night affirming how women, especially when we collaborate, are collectively positioned to win on EVERY level. I wrote #PrettyPowerful as my love letter to women. Today, I’m grateful AF to support, hire, learn from, be raised by, mentor to, be sponsor to, be sponsored by, in friendship with, and ultimately in sisterhood with…women??Special thanks to the queens that worked to put this evening together @gjpmedia @habituallyhilari @lynzchristiantv @eboneetravels @joijoi22 @ashleyssweettreatsinc #PrettyPowerful #tbt????#womenshistorymonth #sisterhood #OnlyChildWhere? #womenhelpingwomen ? @chuckmarcus
Eboni currently hosts Revolt Black News and also serves as an executive producer on the show. She is also an author. In 2017, Eboni penned a book titled: Pretty Powerful: Appearance, Substance & Success.
This casting news comes after the franchise lost two of its long-running stars with the exits of Dorinda Medley and Tinsley Mortimer. Tinsley exited RHONY in the middle of season 12 to move to Chicago to live with now-fiancé Scott Kluth while Dorinda announced her departure in August after 5 seasons.
I, for one, am super excited to see what Eboni brings to RHONY. She’s clearly intelligent, beautiful, and can hold her own.
RHONY will return to Bravo for season 13 in 2021.
Thoughts on this RHONY casting news? Do you think Eboni will be a good fit for RHONY? Sound off below!
