Oops, she did it again?
Over the weekend, Kelly celebrated her bridal shower for her upcoming wedding to fiancé Rick Leventhal.
Several members of the Real Housewives of Orange County cast, including Emily Simpson, Gina Kirschenheiter, and newbie Elizabeth Lyn Vargas attended the bridal shower.
On Instagram stories, Kelly shared some moments from her bridal however, one of the moments left RHOC fans with a bad taste in their mouth.
In one photo, Kelly was wearing a Drunk Wives Matter hat. The logo on the hate was an exact replica of the Black Lives Matter logo.
The photo quickly circulated on Twitter and Instagram and let many RHOC fans fuming.
“How is it possible she continues to get worse and worse?” one fan wrote while another added, “How and most importantly, WHY is this trashcan still employed by Bravo????”
“Yep, not tuning in to OC this session… can’t believe I was on her side during earlier seasons,” another fan said.
Others called Kelly everything from “tone-deaf,” to “trash,” to “sick” to “the literal worst” and more.
Meanwhile, fans also slammed Kelly for not social distancing or having any of her guests wear masks at the party amid the Coronavirus pandemic.
Kelly defended her hat and not social distancing or wearing masks at her bridal shower.
“I’m responsible [and have] never been sick. [I] traveled the world. It’s a 99% recovery [if] aren’t compromised. It’s a super flu, not a death sentence,” Kelly wrote on Instagram.
She added that “no one was sick” at the party, and if any of them do get sick, they will “get better.”
As for her hat, Kelly denied that it was “insensitive” like one fan suggested.
“It’s not…my girlfriend bought it for me as a gift. It’s a play on words. Some people aren’t that smart,” Kelly wrote.
After the bridal shower, Kelly and her friends further defended the Drink Wives Matter hat during an Instagram Live. Oddly enough, they all seemed a little bit tipsy in the video.
The ladies condescendingly said they were “so sorry” for being “insensitive” and that it was a “joke” and a “gift.”
Kelly then told anyone who couldn’t get the joke to “Go f–k yourself.”
