Andy Cohen Denies Vicki Gunvalson and Tamra Judge Were Fired Because of Their Age Plus Answers Brandi Glanville’s Sons’ Pleas to Bring Her Back to RHOBH

Andy Cohen didn’t hold back one bit while appearing on Brandi Glanville’s Unfiltered podcast.

Brandi put the Big Daddy of Bravo in the hot seat, forcing him to get very candid about everything Real Housewives.

To start, Brandi asked Andy about Tamra Judge and Vicki Gunvalson’s exits from the Real Housewives of Orange County.

“I felt like [Vicki and Tamra] told their entire stories, and they both said that [you are] an ageist,” Brandi said. “They said you were going against them because they got too old.”

If you recall, back in June, Tamra claimed Bravo wants “younger Housewives” while appearing on the Behind the Velvet Rope podcast, which she claims is why Bravo let her and Vicki go.

“One thing they said to each one of my friends who were younger [and auditioned for RHOC] … they want to have younger housewives. I thought, well, that’s interesting, and then it shows. The ones they’ve hired have all been younger. So, I do think there’s some truth to that,” Tamra said in June.

Andy was quick to point out that there are older Housewives than Vicki, 58, specifically RHONY’s Ramona Singer, who is 63.

“If you look at the women on our shows, there are a lot of women that are really thriving in their 50s and late 50s. Yeah, no. I don’t care for that [remark],” he explained; however, Andy did note that Vicki “to this day makes me absolutely laugh.”

He continued: “We just felt that the show needed some new air. We needed to air it out and see where it went. These two women were so identifiable with it and will always be. I hope they will someday be back in some capacity.”

Andy also hinted about season 15 of RHOC, which premieres October 7 and will be the first season without the OG of the OC.

“COVID kind of hit us, but what I think people will see when the show begins is there’s something about Orange County. They are women dealing with some real serious stuff in their lives,” he said. “When the season starts, there is something that really grounds it to the core of what Orange County always was about.”

Meanwhile, Brandi took the opportunity to grill Andy about her own potential return to RHOBH.

Andy explained that Brandi has made guest appearances on seasons 6, 9, and 10 of RHOBH. He added that Brandi is “as close to being back” as she’s been “in a long time,” but wouldn’t commit to giving Brandi a definitive answer.

“You’re not exactly friends with any of the women,” Andy said after pointing out that Brandi isn’t “on an island” like has been in the past.

Brandi fired back, saying she’s friends with Kyle and Kim Richards before enlisting her sons, Mason, 17, and Jake, 13, to help her get back on RHOBH full-time.

“I was wondering if you would do the right thing and give my mom her job back like you said you would because she was like the main focus of the whole season,” Jake said to Andy in a video. “And like get her money back so we can move out of this place and get her what she deserves.”

Mason then chimed in and said this time around their dad, Eddie Cibrian, would let them film for the show.

“You kind of milked her for everything this season, and she hasn’t gotten half as much as the other Housewives. … I mean she’s the best woman I’ve ever met,” Mason added.

Andy seemed to be intrigued by the news that Brandi would be able to film with her kids and show her home life.

“That’s a discussion!” Andy concluded.

After Brandi’s podcast episode was published, she took to Twitter to clarify some things.

She insists that her sons weren’t “begging” Andy to get her job back on RHOBH; instead, she says they were simply sharing their feelings.

“LBC, my boys weren’t begging @Andy for my job back. They were simply stating their opinions. They believe I was used for ratings & very underpaid. They also think its time to do the fair &right thing in regards to their mom. THEY LOVE ME &have seen my disappointment -THAT IS IT,” Brandi tweeted.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is expected to return for season 11 in mid-2021.

Do you think Tamra and Vicki were fired because of their age? Were Brandi’s sons begging for their mom to get her job back? Do you think Brandi will be back for season 11? Would you like to see Brandi home life with her kids? Sound off below!
