Former Real Housewives of New York star Kristen Taekman is sounding off on all things Real Housewives!
Kristen recently appeared on RealiTea With Derek Z via NECN and shared her feelings on Bravo’s decision to shake up the cast for season 13 of RHONY. She also commented on her best friend Brandi Glanville’s current drama with Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Denise Richards.
“I think we need three more [Leah McSweeneys],” Kristen admitted. “I think she’s amazing – I was actually thinking about this yesterday – I think she’s the most amazing addition to the cast, I totally miss Tinsley [Mortimer].”
As for the rest of the RHONY cast, Kristen thinks it’s time for the “older OGs to step down” to “friends of” the Housewives and make room for some new blood.
“I think it’s time for the ‘Older OGs’ to step down and be a ‘friend of’ – their storylines are so old, I think it’s time – I would rather see a couple of those ladies still be in the fray, but we don’t need to know about their storyline anymore,” she confessed. “Nobody wants to see these older women dating. I don’t.”
When it comes to Brandi’s drama with Denise, Kristen admits she doesn’t know much but thinks the alleged hookup drama “is a little nuts.”
“I really don’t know; honestly, I swear,” Kristen confessed. “She told me – you know – way back when they were filming it that there was something going on with her and Denise, but she didn’t give me any details, and I had no idea that it would be this, and I didn’t really ask.”
The Real Housewives of New York airs on Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET.
