The claws are out!
While at dinner in Rome, the ladies discussed Rinna’s infamous dancing videos on Instagram. It all started when Kyle Richards wondered what Rinna’s mom, Lois, thought of the videos.
“What does Lois think about the dancing on Instagram in your underwear?” Kyle asked.
“You know I do a lot of stuff on Instagram because Lois watches Instagram, so she sees everything. Even though I know I’m being ridiculous; I always know that she gets to see everything. I think it really is great for her,” Rinna explained.
It turns out Garcelle didn’t buy what Rinna was selling. While Garcelle kept her mouth shut at the dinner table, she took the opportunity to shade Rinna in her confessional interview.
However, instead of going directly after Rinna, she also went after Rinna’s youngest daughter Amelia Gray Hamlin, 19.
“I love that Lisa is free enough to do the videos and be dancing, but the dancing nearly naked is not a choice for me if I had a daughter that had body issues,” Garcelle said with a shoulder shrug.
It’s no secret that Amelia has suffered from anorexia in the past. She opened up about her battle in a very open and honest post on Instagram in 2018. The topic was also addressed in season 9 of RHOBH.
With that said, it’s not surprising that Rinna wasn’t thrilled over Garcelle’s comments.
Rinna didn’t directly reply to Garcelle’s comments. Instead, she shared some tweets on her Instagram stories that slammed Garcelle and made it known she wasn’t onboard with Garcelle’s shade.
One tweet read, “The only person that comment hurt was Amelia. If Garcelle wants to take a dig [at] Rinna, it’s fair game. But using the eating disorder to make the dig was a low blow. IMO it’s so brave of Amelia to be public [about] her anxiety and other mental health struggles [at] that age.”
“Yes, Chrissy,” Rinna wrote on Instagram stories while sharing the tweet.
She then shared another tweet that read: “I love Garcelle but her comment [about] Lisa'[s] IG & daughter’s eating disorder felt nasty. That’s mom-shaming [at] its worst. We are already so hard on ourselves. I felt bad for any parent watching [who’s] had to live thru the hell of a child’s eating disorder.”
Lisa gave the tweet her seal of approval, writing, “Same Bob.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. EST on Bravo.
