Bethenny Frankel is making it known that she has no intention of EVER returning to the Real Housewives of New York.
The SkinnyGirl mogul told fans just that in a recent tweet after one RHONY fan insisted the franchise “needed B back.”
“We need B back,” a fan tweeted on July 31.
Bethenny adamantly responded, “I AM NOT COMING BACK.”
While B is “humbled by the threads and comments” begging for her return, the former NY Housewife has no intention or desire to return to Bravo.
“I honestly am stunned,” she told Fortune in July 2020. “I haven’t been watching. I saw the first episode and part of another one, so I don’t know what’s going on there. There’s a lot of talk about what’s going on there, and I read comments that people say to me, ‘Please come back,’ and ‘Please save the show.’ It’s all flattering, and I wish the girls well. I’m doing other things, though, and I just don’t know how that really would fit into my life as is.”
Bethenny left RHONY in August 2019 to focus on other projects, including her philanthropy work. While many believe B left RHONY due to money and contract disputes, she insists that’s not the case at all. This isn’t the first time Bethenny has left RHONY. She was an original member of the franchise when it premiered in 2008; however, she first exited the show in 2011 during season 4. Bethenny later returned to the show in 2015 during season 7 only to leave again in 2019 ahead of season 12.
“Everyone thinks I left because of money. I wasn’t leaving because of money, I was staying because of money,” B revealed in February of 2020. “It no longer became this platform to promote my business, because I had done that, and there was more promoting sort of new and questionable businesses than the legitimate ones at this point if that makes any sense.”
While fans may miss Bethenny on RHONY, the same can’t be said for some of her former co-stars. Luann de Lesseps and Ramona Singer have made it know that they don’t miss Bethenny at all.
In March 2020, Luann revealed that she found the SkinnyGirl mogul “annoying” on RHONY.
“Bethenny is a good reality star — she just is, but it does get annoying because you’re like, ‘What about what I said? What about what I have to say?’ I feel like this season, you’re going to get to know us better because there’s more room, and I feel like people are going to really love the new housewife,” Lu explained on the Naughty But Nice podcast.
Ramona had similar sentiments while talking to Entertainment Tonight that very same month.
“Even though Bethenny is a very strong character, she’s well received by the viewers, by us, she is basically — we all walk on eggshells around her,” Ramona admitted. “We couldn’t really be ourselves. She’s such a big personality; she kind of took over the room. No air left for us.”
The Real Housewives of New York airs on Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET.
