Ramona Singer Says It Was Never Her ‘Intention To Shame’ Leah McSweeney Over Mental Health Issues

The Apologizer strikes again.

Ramona Singer is apologizing to co-star Leah McSweeney after she brought up the RHONY newbie’s mental health issues on this week’s episode of the show.

“I found out she’s bipolar, and she’s on medication,” Ramona told co-star Sonja Morgan of Leah. “You cannot mix alcohol with meds; it makes you act not responsible.”

This came days after the RHONY OG scolded Leah for having fun and dancing, in a manner, she didn’t approve of, at her birthday bash.

Sonja then filled Leah in on the gossip Ramona was spreading about her, which pissed Leah off to no extent.

After arriving in Mexico, Leah chatted with Dorinda Medley about the gossip and slammed Ramona.

Leah said it was “despicable” and “repulsive as f–k” for Ramona to bring up her mental health issues, adding “it’s a line you don’t cross.”

Dorinda asked when Leah told Ramona about her mental health issues, and Leah said she never did before pointing out that Ramona “must have been doing some digging on me, which is also very weird.”

Leah explained that she was “diagnosed with bipolar II disorder” on her 30th birthday and that she’s “dedicated the last 7 years to getting it under control” and getting herself “in a good place.”

Adding, “I’m not even on medication for bipolar II disorder, so for her to be even talking about it in this way is despicable.”

Now, Ramona is apologizing to Leah; however, not everyone is buying it.

On July 31, Ramona took to Twitter and said it was “never” her “intention to shame Leah.”

“It was never my intention to shame Leah about her mental health issues. I understand it’s her story to tell. [It] takes a lot of courage & strength for her to go public in an article about her struggles, which I admire. I only wish her well & want to help support her in the right way,” Ramona wrote.

Fans quickly called out Ramona for her behavior and her so-called apology.

“It was horrible, hateful, and selfish what you did! I did not think anything was more disgusting than seeing you in leggings, but you proved me wrong! If you had a ‘real’ life, you would have a ‘storyline’ other than attacking others!” one fan wrote.

Another commented, “Then why did you bring it up at all? This seems like a backtrack due to blowback from last night’s episode. Mental health issues shouldn’t be used to shame a person for how they’re acting.”

Leah has yet to respond to Ramona’s apology.
