The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Gorga family will remain a party of 5 – now and forever.
Melissa Gorga says she’s no longer interested in expanding her family and believes “the time has passed” for her and Joe to have a fourth child.
“Just having to homeschool even another child [in quarantine] would make me want to say no, I can tell you that,” Melissa told Us Weekly on Wednesday, July 22. “I think we were really deep into, like, leaning towards yes for a minute. I think it’s just, like, the time has passed. I feel like we’re in a spot where I’m like, ‘OK, let me just, like, be happy with what I have.’ I have three healthy children.”
Melissa and Joe wed in 2004, and together they share three children – Antonia, 14, Gino, 12, and Joey, 9.
During season 10 of RHONJ, Melissa and Joe’s main storyline was their decision to have baby number 4. Then in February 2020, Melissa revealed on The Wendy Williams Show that she was freezing her eggs “just in case.”
While Melissa insists that she and Joe were “really contemplating” expanding their family, she says they were ultimately “talked” out of it by family and friends.
Adding that the “ship has sailed” for good.
Melissa also noted that she’s “thrown herself” into motherhood for the past 14 years and is ready to focus on her career aspirations now.
“I feel like, you know what, I’ve done that. I accomplished that. I have three healthy kids. Thank God,” she explained. “It’s like, now I’m at [a] time where I can actually work and be successful and have my own thing. So it’s like … I think I’m good.”
The Real Housewives of New Jersey will return to Bravo in late 2020 or early 2021.
