Lisa Vanderpump isn’t buying the claim that she “wasn’t nice” to actress Sarah Paulson when they met years ago.
In fact, the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star is using a photo of her and Paulson, who is holding Lisa’s beloved dog Giggy, to refute Paulson’s recent comments about their interaction.
“Apparently @MsSarahPaulson you are in a picture with me holding my precious lil Giggly, I rarely let anybody hold him as he is so delicate, you must be friendly with one of those mean girls,” Lisa tweeted. “I have no reason to be anything but kind to you.”
During a lie-detector interview with Vanity Fair in October 2019, Paul admitted she wouldn’t miss Lisa on RHOBH.
“I don’t want her coming after me on Twitter, but I won’t miss her,” Paulson said. “I miss the dynamic she brings to the group — which is, you know, the fear of God she instills in everyone. But no, I won’t miss her.”
“I met her once at a party,” she continued. “She wasn’t that nice to me. Am I going to get in trouble for that? She wasn’t that nice!”
Paulson’s comments resurfaced when she appeared on the July 9 episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. The American Horror Story actress doubled down on her claim that Lisa was not friendly when they met.
“I mean, Andy, it’s that thing where I’m a bit of an idiot in the sense that I was having that lie detector test,” she explained on WWHL. “They truly strapped everything around me. The guy was sitting there. I somehow felt that if I didn’t answer the question properly, I was going to get called out anyway! Listen, bless the fans. Bless the people who have [Vanderpump’s] back. That’s great.”
“I simply said she wasn’t that nice to me. She wasn’t, and that’s OK. It wasn’t a character assassination!” she continued.
Paulson also pointed out that she loved holding Giggy and probably just grabbed him for the photo. “I was just like, ‘Yeah, I think I probably grabbed the dog out of her hand anyway.’ But I was with other people that I think she liked and she didn’t know who I was. I didn’t expect her to know who I was, but I just, you know, she wasn’t that nice.”
Lisa went on to call Paulson’s comments, “unnecessarily mean.”
“I don’t know what she is talking about…I would never be laughing and giving Giggy to someone if [I] wasn’t totally OKOK with them. People are so unnecessarily mean,” Lisa wrote on Twitter.
One fan suggested Lisa “rise above” the drama with Paulson to which Lisa replied, “I did once, but she keeps coming for me trying to create something.”
Another fan suggested that Paulson is probably upset that Lisa “didn’t know who she was.”
Lisa agreed, “I probably didn’t…is that important? LOL.”
Meanwhile, Lisa also took a swipe at former RHOBH c0-star Lisa Rinna, who recently chimed in on Paulson and LVP’s drama.
“I love Sarah Paulson!!!!!” Rinna wrote on Page Six’s Instagram account alongside several red heart emojis.
A fan told Lisa, “She’s not worth a response Lisa. She’s friends with this…” while sharing a photo of Rinna and her husband Harry Hamlin in their now-infamous Sid and Nancy Halloween costumes, in which Harry is donning a shirt with a swastika on it.
“Yikes, yet probably…how disgusting, my beloved grandmother’s house was bombed by Nazis…geez,” LVP replied.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. EST on Bravo.
