Ooops, she did it again!
“We both found out we have the antibodies, so we donated our plasma,” Ramona told PEOPLE.
Ramona says she felt symptoms back in February, but due to lack of information, she never got tested.
“I had no energy,” she recalls. “I just wanted to stay in bed all day. I felt very tired, and I also had severe headaches.”
As for Avery, Ramona says she began to feel symptoms of COVID in early March after arriving in Boca Raton, FL. Ramona and Avery escaped NYC for Florida in early March to self-isolate as a family with Ramona’s ex-husband Mario Singer.
“She just thought maybe she had a cold or a sinus infection because she wasn’t able to taste food, and she lost her sense of smell,” says Ramona. “We kept her quarantined in a separate part of the home because, not realizing I had already been sick, I was afraid my Lyme disease had weakened my immune system and I would be more vulnerable to catching an illness.”
Reflecting on her three-month quarantine in Florida, Ramona says the time with her ex-husband and daughter was a blessing and made their family even closer.
“It was so special,” she says. “The memories that Avery is going to walk away with is just beyond. I made a dinner for our last night together, and she made a toast, and she hugged her daddy. She just said this was the best experience. She said, ‘Even though this was a bad situation for the country and the world, this was the most positive experience I could ever have.’”
“We made lemonade out of lemons; I have to say,” she adds. “We really did.”
Meanwhile, the three decided to get tested for coronavirus antibodies in May.
“We all got tested. Avery and I both tested positive, but Mario was negative,” she says. “We are all so lucky that we have our health.”
“I’m so focused on my health,” she adds. “I have such a strong immune system that my body fought it off. I’m very blessed.”
Ramona says that after getting approval from her doctor, she and Avery left Florida at the end of June. Ramona reportedly headed straight to the Hamptons after arriving in NYC while Avery went to her own apartment in the city.
“When I was on the plane, I wore a mask the whole time, I wore gloves the whole time, and I was washing down everything,” she says. “I was — and continue to be — extremely socially responsible.”
Speaking of being “extremely socially responsible,” it seems that some of Ramona’s RHONY co-stars don’t think she’s been acting very responsible at all.
Luann de Lesseps and Dorinda Medley recently reacted Ramona’s revelation that she and Avery tested positive for COVID-19 antibodies – and let’s just say their public comments are SHADY.
Dorinda continued to throw even more shade at Ramona a few days later. Dorinda called Ramona out after she attended a massive party in the Hamptons, where, guess what, social distancing was non-existent. The party was also attended by Donald Trump Jr and his girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle, who has now tested positive for Coronavirus.
“Anyone that attended Joe Farrell’s packed Hamptons party last week should get tested ASAP, including @ramonasinger,” Dorinda tweeted.
