On the June 11the episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Tinsley addressed Carole’s recent tweet that Bravo “invented” their friendship for the sake of the show.
“Bravo invented ride or die friendship w/Tinsley,” Carole tweeted.
“I mean it’s total bulls–t,” Tinsley told Andy.
Adding, “We went on trips together not on camera! I thought she was my friend. I don’t think Bravo created anything.”
Tinsley does admit that the “ride or die” claim about her friendship with Carole may be a stretch but insists she their connection was genuine.
“OK, maybe she didn’t like me that much, I don’t know. But I liked her. I thought we were friends and so I don’t think they created a ‘ride or die’ friendship,” she stated. “And also I don’t think anyone would consider us ‘ride or die.’ We were just friends. I thought.”
When asked if Carole reached out to her about engagement to Scott considering she is the one who set them up, Tinsley replied, “No, I didn’t hear from her. I heard from some friends that live in her building and things. But no I didn’t hear from her.”
Speaking of friendships, Tinsley then moved on to talking about her less than civil friendship with c0-star Dorinda Medley.
“It was so frustrating because … for Dorinda to have been SO concerned about whether I was with Scott or not with Scott or trying to say that I was or I wasn’t at different times … for her to be so concerned about my relationship it seemed very disingenuous,” Tinsley explained. “[All] of a sudden, I’m back to together with Scott, I just got back from Chicago, and why isn’t she asking questions now? Why is it just like, ‘Oh, I don’t even care now.’ How is that somebody that I would ever want to really share all my feelings with and what’s going on in my life if that’s her reaction?”
She went on to clarify that it’s Dorinda that actually blocked her on Twitter and not the other way around.
“After the orchard [episode], she blocked me, and I think she blocked me because everybody was going off on her on her Instagram, just telling her that she had been horrible to me, so that’s why I assumed that she blocked me,” Tinsley shared.
“She said you blocked her,” Andy replied.
“She did because she’s a liar,” Tinsley explained. “To all of her followers she wrote, ‘She blocked me!’ but I did not. I’m not that petty, I wouldn’t do that.”
As for her time on RHONY as a whole, Tinsley has no regrets but admits leaving the show to move to Chicago was the right move for her life.
“It was sad, it was scary — all of it — but you know what, I knew it was right and I knew I had to do it,” she said. “I knew if I didn’t do it, I would regret it. The outcome has been amazing. I didn’t know we were gonna get engaged so soon, I had no idea.”
The Real Housewives of New York airs on Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET.
