Kelly Dodd, incorrectly, claims that noone in #OrangeCounty is dying of Coronavirus. The #RHOC star was out and about with her mom and daughter on Monday and documented the outing on her Instagram stories. In the video Kelly can be overheard saying, “Yay, we finally get to have a meal out. Yay, no one is wearing a mask. I love it. Yay!” She then repeated, “No one is wearing masks here in Orange County. Yup, because no one is dying here of the virus.” However, in the clip you can clearly see the restaurant servers wearing masks. According to the Los Angeles Times via Page Six, there have been 133 coronavirus related deaths in Orange County as of Monday. Also, last Thursday the couty had 14 new Coroanvirus deaths – the largest single day death toll the county has seen since the pandemic began. ?Thoughts on Kelly’s latest comments? In the meantime, Kelly has also received criticism for continuing to travel and for not following social distancing guidelines while getting together with her RHOC co-stars.
Not surprisingly, many fans are up in arms over Kelly’s comment. Some fans are even calling for Bravo to fire Kelly from RHOC.
Earlier this week, rumors swirled that Kelly had been fired from RHOC, but she denied the claims.
Now, one of Kelly’s former friends is sounding off on all the drama.
Patti appeared on the Hot Takes & Deep Dives With Jess Rothschild podcast and was asked, “Have you been following Kelly Dodd [and] what she’s been posting on Instagram [about coronavirus]?”
“She and I do not get along, by the way,” Patti revealed, adding, “We used to be friends.”
Patt then addressed Kelly’s coronavirus comments and made a quite shocking claim about the RHOC star.
“I saw that and then she went out to Fashion Mall and was like ‘Look, everything’s open. We can drink now.’ She’s like an alcoholic,” Patti claimed.
She continued, “I saw that, and I was thinking to myself, ‘OK, are you mentally ill? Like, do you know what’s going on?’ I know people that died. Like, are you mentally ill?”
“What is wrong with you?” Patti wondered before adding, “If you don’t watch the news and you don’t get educated, just don’t speak. Please don’t speak. Like, we’re not here to party like it’s 1999.”
The Real Housewives of Orange County is expected to return to Bravo for season 15 in late 2020.
Thoughts on Patt’s comments? Did Patti cross the line calling Kelly an alcoholic?
