A shake-up in the ATL?
That’s what Kenya Moore wants for season 13 of the Real Housewives of Atlanta.
“Listen, I’m not a network, I’m not the production company,” she told HollywoodLife. “I won’t speak to who should be back and who shouldn’t be back, but I definitely think we need a cast shake-up, I think that we need fresh faces. I think [with] all of the franchises, what keeps them interesting is that you have new people, so I think that we definitely need some new people.”
Speaking of a casting shake-up, rumor has it Yovanna Momplaisir, who appeared as a friend on seasons 11 and 12, is returning for season 13 as a full-time Housewife.
However, Kenya is skeptical about the rumor being circulated by TMZ.
“[TMZ] didn’t say that she would be a peach holder, but I don’t think she would be anything full-time other than full-time of BS,” Kenya explained. “I’m kind of over her and the situation and to see that she was plotting to dig up. Why would you want to do that? Just so you could be a part of the show? I’ve never done anything to her personally to have her plotting against me and trying to embarrass me and my family, so it’s a no for me.”
Meanwhile, sources insist “there’s no truth” to the Yovanna rumors.
“Yovanna has not been invited to become an official cast member,” a source told HollywoodLife.
“If Yovanna is, in fact, coming back full-time, several of the ladies will not be happy. She’s not friends or even acquaintances with any of them,” the source explained. “They think she planted rumors about her joining the show, herself.”
The RHOA cast “is willing to film with Yovanna and are open for fresh faces, but having her just doesn’t make sense. They had no idea she was even showing up to the reunion,” the source revealed.
The source also noted that the season 13 contracts “haven’t gone out yet.”
The Real Housewives of Atlanta will return to Bravo for season 13 in late 2020 or early 2021.
