Oh, Kelly, when will you learn that keeping your mouth shut is sometimes the best thing to do?
Kelly has been in the press lately due to her statements on the coronavirus even stating it’s “God’s way of thinning the herd.” After initially apologizing, Kelly is now back, and worse than ever, by incorrectly stating that no one in the OC is dying of the virus.
Kelly went out shopping and to eat over the holiday weekend and was thrilled to see patrons not wearing masks. On her Instagram stories, Kelly stated:
“Yay, we finally get to have a meal out. Yay, no one is wearing a mask. I love it. Yay!” Kelly can be seen shopping with her mom and dining with her and daughter Jolie. During her stories, Kelly continued to celebrate the lack of masks by stating that “No one is wearing masks here in Orange County. Yup, because no one is dying here of the virus.” The irony is that as she was stating this you can see the restaurant staff (including her waiter) all wearing masks as recommended.

Kelly Dodd, incorrectly, claims that noone in #OrangeCounty is dying of Coronavirus. The #RHOC star was out and about with her mom and daughter on Monday and documented the outing on her Instagram stories. In the video Kelly can be overheard saying, “Yay, we finally get to have a meal out. Yay, no one is wearing a mask. I love it. Yay!” She then repeated, “No one is wearing masks here in Orange County. Yup, because no one is dying here of the virus.” However, in the clip you can clearly see the restaurant servers wearing masks. According to the Los Angeles Times via Page Six, there have been 133 coronavirus related deaths in Orange County as of Monday. Also, last Thursday the couty had 14 new Coroanvirus deaths – the largest single day death toll the county has seen since the pandemic began. 🍊Thoughts on Kelly’s latest comments? Kelly continued in her stories, stating that “It’s not the government’s job to protect my health. It’s the government’s job to protect my RIGHTS. It’s my job to protect my health. When you trade liberty for safety you end up losing both.”
In case anyone is interested in the facts, according to The Los Angeles Times, Orange County recorded 14 new coronavirus-related deaths last Thursday with the county’s total death toll up to 133 as of Monday. I think what Kelly meant to say is that no one in her little bubble has been affected by the coronavirus.
Kelly then went back on social media, accusing PageSix and UsWeekly of not getting their facts straight stating:
“I was by no means minimizing deaths that have been caused by this virus, and I feel for their loved ones. However, Orange County has 133 deaths out of 3 million people — much lower than most.”
“I felt encouraged and excited that people were out and about and there was some semblance of normalcy.”
