Kathryn Dennis may not be so charming after all.
The Southern Charm star found herself in hot water when she and is now apologizing for sending racially offensive messages to radio host Tamika Gadsden.
On Sunday, May 10, Tamika publicly called out a beauty salon owner in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina for hosting a “Trump boat parade.”
“In Charleston, you learn, fairly quickly, that the face of White Supremacy resembles that of the boutique-owning, gatekeeping glitterati. This is Katie Shields, owner of Mylk Bar in Mt. Pleasant. She’s organizing a Nautical MAGA rally with her friends. Katie is reprehensible,” Tamika tweeted alongside some receipts of her claims.

One way or another Kathryn inserted herself into this by messaging Tamika in defense of Katie and the others included in the parade.
Tamika posted several, if not all, of Kathryn’s messages, one read: “Why are you calling us ‘white people?’ that is so racist.” Another message from the Bravolebrity said, “Ha dude u are crazy.”
However, Kathryn didn’t stop there and continued to send Tamika messages.
The Southern Charm star told Tamika to “Grow a pair” while also calling her a “weenie.”
She continued, “That’s how serious I take this,” alongside a monkey emoji. Kathryn added, “You’ll learn.”
“This is what happens when a Black woman in #Charleston speaks up against white supremacy in the form of MAGA rallies. My comments re: Mylk Bar prompted this @BravoTV “actor” @KathrynDennis to taunt me with monkey emojis in my DMs. Along with a whole host of other names,” Tamika tweeted.
She added, “I guess I didn’t give her the response she wanted.”

Kathryn later publicly apologized for the comments writing, “I want to acknowledge that using a monkey emoji in my text was offensive, and from the bottom of my heart I sincerely apologize to anyone and everyone I hurt. Although the context was not my intention, there are no “if ands or buts” that excuse me… part 1.”
She went on, “Part 2:…I did not give it thought, and it was and is wrong. I know I am not that person. I know and will do better.”
As for Tamika, she made it clear on Twitter that Kathryn’s apology means nothing to her.
“Apology not accepted,” Tamika tweeted.
This is very ‘on brand’ for the Calhoun family tree. This old super pro slavery racist m-f’er is her family’s claim to fame. John C. Calhoun – look him up. #SouthernCharm #Bravo https://t.co/wuUHwoz9ii pic.twitter.com/LG8ULkD7Q6
