After Jennifer Aydin recovered from COVID19, the Real Housewives of New Jersey star knew she wanted to do something to give back and she did just that by donating 5000 masks to hospitals in New Jersey and New York.
“When I had the coronavirus, I noticed that my masks were really flimsy at the time,” Jennifer explained to Page Six on Thursday. “Everyone was asking how I had contracted it or whatever, and I was like, ‘I was just at the grocery store. That’s the only place that I went to.’”
Jennifer asked her plastic surgeon hubby Bill Aydin to get her some N95 masks, which he said he was unable to do because there was a shortage.
“I figured if me, as a doctor’s wife, was having difficulty getting these masks, what about the average Joe?” she said.
The RHONJ star then took matters into her own hands and went on a mission to secure masks. She reached out to the manufacturer, who creates her Ultimate Beauty Pillow and purchased 10,000 masks.

Despite all her efforts, Jennifer kept quiet about her behind the scenes work.
“I didn’t want to jinx it until the shipment was able to come through,” she said.
Once she had the goods in her hands, Jennifer reached out to NJ Governor to find which facilities needed the most help. Ultimately, Jennifer donated 3,000 to the Bergen New Bridge Center in Paramus.
However, Jennifer admits that when the masks first arrived, she reached out to her friends, family, and RHONJ c0-stars to see if they needed masks. That’s when an RHONJ producer put Jennifer in touch with Lenox Hill Hospital in New York, and she was able to donate an additional 2000 masks.
“I’ve also donated a thousand masks to just miscellaneous people who have DM’d me and asked me and been begging me,” she continued. “So every time I get a new request that I happen to see, if I’m able to, I just put some masks in an envelope, and I go to the post office or have my assistant go by the post office and just ship them out.”
Jennifer also kept some masks for her husband’s plastic surgery center, which is planning on re-opening once the stay at home order is lifted.
“He is planning to re-open once the quarantine and the stay-at-home thing is lifted,” she said. “We have patients calling. People want their Botox and their injectables!”
As for Jennifer, she feels “great” after testing positive for Coronavirus in April.
“I feel great,” she said. “I feel as good as new. Really. Like so happy and grateful that I didn’t get it as worse as other people have because it was a little scary for a minute.”
The Real Housewives of New Jersey will return to Bravo in late 2020 or early 2021.
