Some of the shade during this week’s episode of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills was so subtle that if you blinked, you missed it.
“This one, who’s never worn anything but a f–king mop-top ponytail her whole life is all of the sudden like, really, Ragamuffin,” Kyle was overheard saying to Sutton Stracke about Denise and her upgraded ponytail hairstyle.
In her confessional, Kyle continued, “I mean ragamuffin isn’t the nicest word, but I could have said worse.”
If you’re wondering, WTF a ragamuffin is – it’s “a person, typically a child, in ragged, dirty clothes.”
Now, it’s not surprising that many fans took issue with Kyle referring to Denise as a ragamuffin.
“RAGAMUFFIN?!? Now THAT’S a fighting word @DENISE_RICHARDS @KyleRichards #RHOBH,” one fan tweeted.
Another fan wondered what the big deal was tweeting, “Why is ragamuffin a fighting word? Not being stupid or sarcastic. From the Midwest and hear it all the time from all types of people.”
“It’s not a mean word, but it wasn’t said in a nice way. I was upset, and the margaritas and exhaustion didn’t help,” Kyle explained.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. EST on Bravo.
Thoughts on Kyle’s ragamuffin comment? Did she cross the line?
