Dorit Kemsley Says Lisa Vanderpump DIDN’T Get Her Hired On RHOBH

Dorit Kemsley is setting the record straight once and for all. Lisa Vanderpump was NOT responsible for getting her hired on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

While appearing on Heather McDonald’s Juicy Scoop podcast, the Beverly Beach designer revealed how she got cast on RHOBH and if she’s talked to Lisa since her 2019 exit from the hit Bravo show.

“It wasn’t [through Lisa],” Dorit revealed to Heather McDonald.

As many RHOBH fans know, Lisa and Dorit’s husband Paul “PK” Kemsley go way back to their days in London. When Dorit joined RHOBH, she and Lisa were very buddy-buddy; however, in reality, they were very new friends.

This tidbit of knowledge didn’t come to life until a few seasons later, which is why many believed Lisa brought Dorit onto the show.

According to Dorit, she caught Bravo’s attention when she filmed a pilot for a reality show featuring her, PK, and their good friend Boy George.

“[We] were going to do a reality show when George had just come to America. And so we did a pilot and Bravo and E! and all the networks had seen it,” Dorit recalled. “Then, George got on The Voice in the U.K. [and] went back to the U.K.”

Dorit admits she watched RHOBH when it first started to air but had since lost touch with the show when she got married and had kids.

Initally Dorit turned down an offer to join the show when Bravo approached her just months after moving to Beverly Hills from New York City.

“When they approached me, I was like, ‘Absolutely not.’ And then Paul encouraged me to consider it,” she explained. “We had just moved to L.A. I think we were here for maybe six months [before being approached].”

As for Lisa, Dorit says she hasn’t seen her former friend since their season 9 drama. When asked if she’s had any run-ins with Lisa, Dorit replied, “I have not, shockingly.”

Meanwhile, Dorit also revealed that season 10 of RHOBH is full of twists and turns – and a lot of drama.

“There’s definitely some bombs dropped, shocking bombs that nobody could have predicted that shocked all of us, and it becomes really intense. But there’s definitely a build-up to that,” she teased. “It’s not one particular moment.”

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. EST on Bravo.
