Dorit Kemsley has made it known that she “won’t settle for anything less than everything” and that also applies to spilling the tea about season 10 of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills!
The Beverly Beach designer recently appeared on E! ’s Daily Pop, where she spilled some MAJOR tea about RHOBH. While Dorit can’t spill “everything” she spilled enough to get us pumped for the season 10 premiere of Wednesday.
While Dorit has yet to watch the season 10 premiere episode, she’s excited for season 10 to playout. Dorit says that she really feels like she came into her own during season 10.
The main reason Dorit feels like she found herself during season 10 happens to because of Lisa Vanderpump’s exit from the show. Season 10 will mark the first season without LVP, who unofficially quit the show in the middle of filming season 9. She then announced her official exit after the season aired.
Dorit and LVP had an epic falling out during season 9, which ended their longstanding friendship.
She admits that it was nice not feeling the pressure to be continuously aligned with LVP because she brought her on the show. This freedom allowed Dorit to flourish and find herself on the show.
“It feels like I’ve come into my own. There’s something kind of nice about being on an island all by yourself, you know?” Dorit dished. “I have great relationships with the other women, but there isn’t this pressure or responsibility to be aligned with someone just because you have to be aligned with them.”
Dorit says she now has the “freedom to have an opinion” and feels more “comfortable” on the show, which is something she’s struggled with since joining RHOBH during season 7.
She goes on to admit that she considered quitting RHOBH “a thousand times every single year.”
“I’ve been in the situation numerous times throughout the last four seasons where I felt like, ‘This is too much for me. I’m not made for this. I shouldn’t be doing it,’” Dorit confessed. “You know, my husband was the one who encouraged me to do it. When it first came to me, I thought, ‘I don’t think I could do this. I don’t think it’s for me.’ But inevitably, after every season, I’m told, ‘You’re made for this!’”
“Yeah, I think his least favorite is gone,” Dorit quipped.
While Dorit has become an independent woman on RHOBH, the same can’t be said for Kyle Richards and Teddi Mellencamp, whose friendship is stronger than ever.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills returns to Bravo for season 10 on Wednesday, April 15, at 8 p.m. EST.
