Looks like we won’t have to wait too long for the Real Housewives of Atlanta season 12 reunion after all!
It seems that Bravo is planning to film the much-anticipated season 12 reunion online!
Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss revealed this surprising news in a recent Instagram Live.
According to Kandi, the RHOA cast was recently informed that the reunion will be taking place online, which will be a total first for any Real Housewives franchise.
“They let us know the other day that we are going to be … we’re going to have to do, I guess, an online type of reunion situation,” she explained.
Kandi went on to say that the ladies have been having their own mini-reunion in their group text. Adding that some of the ladies have been stirring up some major drama.
“Some of the girls was going back and forth, you would’ve thought it had been a reunion on the text messages,” she revealed.
“I said, ‘Damn! Can y’all save all this for the actual reunion? We don’t get paid for your text messages to be all out of pocket, you know what I mean?'” Kandi continued. “It’s a mess! I don’t know if y’all have been catching the shade here and there on some of the blogs, but the shade got real real on the text yesterday.”
Andy Cohen previously revealed that the RHOA reunion would be “postponed” saying that “we all need something to look forward to.” He assured fans that they “will get” the reunion they’ve been waiting for.
Initally, Andy and Bravo weren’t interested in doing the RHOA reunion online.
Back on March 13, a fan tweeted, asking Andy “soooo yall can’t do the reunion via Skype or something??”
Andy replied, “We considered it for a second but figured it would stink!”
However, with no ending in sight for the current COVID19 pandemic, it seems that Bravo has decided to go ahead with filming the season 12 reunion online.
As we said above, this will be a first for any Real Housewives reunion. Amid the current pandemic, this style of reunion may be the norm for the rest of 2020.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs on Sundays at 8 p.m. EST on Bravo.
Thoughts on this? Do you think the reunion will work being filmed online? Is this how things will be done until COVID19 is over?
