Garcelle Beauvais The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills - RHOBH

RHOBH Newbie Garcelle Beauvais Thinks Her Co-Stars Weren’t As Forward With Her Because She’s Black

Garcelle Beauvais is the new girl on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills block but more importantly, she’s the first African-American woman to join the franchise.

Fans will officially get to meet Garcelle when RHOBH returns for season 10 on April 15.

Usually being the newbie on any Housewives franchise isn’t an easy task but jumping into the drama didn’t seem to be difficult for Gacelle.

However, the RHOBH newbie admits she’s anxious to see what the ladies said about her behind her back and in their confessional interviews.

While appearing on The Real, Garcelle addressed this very topic. Host, Adrienne Bailon asked Garcelle, “Are you worried about what they might be saying in their confessionals?”

Garcelle admitted that she’s “a little bit” nervous to see what the ladies.

She explained, “A little bit. They didn’t say anything to my face, but I’m sure behind the scenes, someone must have said something.”

Adrienne then asked, “Why do you think they wouldn’t say nothing to your face?”

Garcelle replied, “I don’t know. I’m the new girl on the block and…” before being cut off by Adrienne’s co-host Loni Love, who interjected, “and you black.”

This is when Garcelle got very REAL.

“I do think that because being the new girl [and] the first black woman on the show has made people a little bit nervous,” she confessed before adding, “I don’t know if they were as forward as they would be. But, maybe in the confessionals, I’ll learn more.”

Season 10 of RHOBH premieres Wednesday, April 15 at 8 p.m. on Bravo!
