On a recent episode of Radio Andy, Mr. Cohen credited LeeAnne Locken for not turning into the next ‘Real Housewives of DC’ and making the show last more than one season. Despite (or perhaps due to) LeeAnne’s many controversies, Andy showed just how valuable LeeAnne was to the franchise by saying: ”I don’t think that Dallas would still be going if it weren’t for her contribution to the series. She has been an incredibly strong part of the show.”
I have to admit that I agree as the first season was pretty bad. The plot lines were thin, revolving around charity and Dallas society….and poop. Despite being the villain, LeeAnne really help keep the show afloat with her strong personality, fiery temper and overall reality TV presence.
Andy describes LeeAnne as: “a driving character — driving a lot of drama and humor and heart. I want to salute her for that because she has made a significant and important contribution to that show.”
Despite LeeAnne being a huge part of the show, Andy was “optimistic” about the future of Dallas and sees the show strongly moving forward.
I think the show has a strong cast and will be fine; however it’s hard to imagine Dallas without LeeAnne. After last season, especially with her racist remarks, I think it was inevitable that LeeAnne leave the show and neither Bravo or LeeAnne had much of a choice. Either way, Dallas has come a long way and I’ll still be tuning in next season.
