Gorga was hopeful that Joe would return home following his prison release and resume his job as a dad to his four daughters. but that wasn’t the case. “I feel I got that father figure. I want to step in and do whatever I can as much as I can,” Joe told Us Weekly on Tuesday, February 18. “You know, again, I’m really not their father. It’s not the same, but I’ll do whatever I can for them. I love them.”
“No, we always talk about it, but I don’t think so man,” he told Us Weekly. “We’re not restaurant people. It’s a whole different world.”
He added, “I just opened up a little one. I opened that one real quick for my father, to keep his mind off my mother. And then he got sick and he really couldn’t run it.”
“I just want to teach people, listen, when you have a goal in life, don’t sit back. Just go get it,” he explained. “Just try it. What could happen? You fail? If I fail, I’m coming back. I’m going to come back harder and stronger and work harder and I’m going to get it.”
Adding, “Always one thing I do love is to make people laugh. I was always that kid growing up in class with my friends on the football field and just I love to entertain people. It just makes me feel good when I see people laugh. It’s like my high.”
