Joe Gorga Talks Being A “Father Figure” To Joe Giudice’s Daughters; Plus Talks Failed Restaurant

Joe Gorga is opening up about being a “father figure” to Joe and Teresa Giudice’s four daughters Gia, 19, Gabriella, 15, Milania, 14, and Audriana, 10.

For the last four years, Gorga has played dad to his sister Teresa‘s girls while their father was in prison. Gorga was hopeful that Joe would return home following his prison release and resume his job as a dad to his four daughters. but that wasn’t the case. Following Joe’s release from prison, Gorga’s role a pseudo to his nieces continued as Joe was taken into ICE custody before being deported to Italy, where he is currently residing.

“I feel I got that father figure. I want to step in and do whatever I can as much as I can,” Joe told Us Weekly on Tuesday, February 18. “You know, again, I’m really not their father. It’s not the same, but I’ll do whatever I can for them. I love them.”

In May 2017, Joe, alongside his wife Melissa Gorga and sister Teresa, opened Gorga’s Homemade Pasta & Pizza but less than a year later the restaurant abruptly closed.
The Gorgas initally insisted they had plans to reopen their restaurant after it closed in January 2018. However,  Joe now admits he has no desire to re-enter the restaurant business.

“No, we always talk about it, but I don’t think so man,” he told Us Weekly. “We’re not restaurant people. It’s a whole different world.”

He added, “I just opened up a little one. I opened that one real quick for my father, to keep his mind off my mother. And then he got sick and he really couldn’t run it.”

When asked about Joe Giudice’s plans to start a restaurant in the Bahamas, Gorga said, “He won’t listen to me. Joe is going to listen to whatever he wants to do. I don’t talk about business with him.”
Despite Gorga’s passion for real estate, he’s also trying his hand at stand up comedy. On February 18th Joe performed at his first-ever comedy show, “The Real Italians of Comedy.”

“I just want to teach people, listen, when you have a goal in life, don’t sit back. Just go get it,” he explained. “Just try it. What could happen? You fail? If I fail, I’m coming back. I’m going to come back harder and stronger and work harder and I’m going to get it.”

Adding, “Always one thing I do love is to make people laugh. I was always that kid growing up in class with my friends on the football field and just I love to entertain people. It just makes me feel good when I see people laugh. It’s like my high.”

The Real Housewives of New Jersey airs on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. EST on Bravo.

Thoughts on Joe’s comments? Would you pay to Joe do standup? Are you surprised Joe is finally addressing his failed restaurant?
