Lisa Vanderpump is finally addressing the controversy surrounding two of her newest Vanderpump Rules stars.
The SUR boss lady has dubbed the racist tweets sent out by Brett Caprioni and Max Boyens “heinous.”
“I am glad they understand the severity of their offenses and have shown utmost remorse and contrition,” she said.
“I embrace a community of diversity and do not tolerate bigotry of any form within my workplace,” she continued. “Max and Brett are both appropriately ashamed of their past obnoxious teenage arrogance and casual use of unacceptable terms. While both have now matured as adults, they have shown remorse for their prior reckless defamatory statements.”
Boyens was said to be “in tears” over this all.
For now, it remains unclear if Max and Brett will be fired from Vanderpump Rules or not.
Lisa has yet to comment on the status of Max and Brett’s jobs but says she “sincerely believe both have learned the power and impact words can have, and I have every hope this will be a lifelong lesson for them as we move into this new decade.”
Jax Taylor, on the hand, told fans “Yeah… it’s being handled.” Later adding, “No outcome yet… it’s up to the network how they want to handle it. Way above my pay grade…”
Meanwhile, Us Weekly reports that the Vanderpump Rules cast “is disgusted” over the tweets sent out by Max. Oddly enough there’s no mention of Brett which is shocking considering his tweets were just as disgusting if not more so.
“A lot of the cast is furious with Max and disgusted by his actions,” a source tells Us Weekly. “They have a zero-tolerance policy for what he said and a lot of them hope Lisa Vanderpump fires Max for his ignorance and that Bravo doesn’t let him back on next season.”
The source adds that Max “talks about people behind their backs, especially Peter Madrigal, to other employees” and that fellow Pump Rules newbie Dayna Kathan is “so embarrassed for pursuing him.”
Vanderpump Rules airs on Tuesdays at 9 p,m. EST on Bravo.
