The Real Housewives of Orange County could have some major casting changes for Season 15!
According to Andy Cohen himself, “there are great people waiting.”
On a recent appearance on SiriusXM’s Jeff Lewis Live, Andy said, “The casting for next season is some of the best casting we’ve had.” He added that he “[has] not been this excited about casting” in a very long time.
The RHOC is the first Real Housewives franchise that premiered in 2006. Vicki Gunvalson is the OG of the OC, and is the only wife to have appeared every season. However; she was in a friend of the wives role during Season 14 so everyone is wondering whether or not she will be returning full-time. The show currently stars: Tamra Judge, Shannon Beador, Kelly Dodd, Gina Kirschenheiter, Emily Simpson and newbie, Braunwyn Windham-Burke.
Who could be getting cut from the cast? Andy didn’t answer that, but he did admit that he thought Braunwyn was “a great” addition to the show. This comes after speculation about whether or not the newbie will be back for Season 15.
Andy explained the mother of seven made for good TV. He said, “She’s got a lot going on. You’ve got Dr. Deb, you’ve got the kids, you’ve got the other apartment.”
Andy said that fans will be happy with casting next season. He shared, “No matter how it shakes out, it’s going to be great because we have great casting. It’s hard to make moves when you don’t have a bench, both on the show and casting wise.”
According to People, Andy added, “What I mean is, it’s like Bethenny leaving, it’s like Vanderpump leaving — there’s already a great bench of superstars. So ultimately, you’re upset that those people are leaving, you might have to make a hard call on Orange County, but there are great people on the show right now and there are great people waiting. You have to figure it out.”
Andy’s late night show, Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, has been picked up again by Bravo through 2021 at least. Andy shared, “I was kind of thinking, it’s going to be the end of 2020 and they’re going to be like, ‘All right Andy, we’re done with you.’ As I have told Vicki Gunvalson before, we all cannot rely on television as our careers. They’re going to tell us all [to go].”
What are Andy’s future plans? He shared, “If WWHL ended and the Housewives ended, I would be very happy coming to Radio Andy and doing this and having this be my full career. Or if Radio Andy ended, maybe I could just write books or teach journalism or just be a dad.”
Wow! I can’t believe it’s already going to be Season 15 of the RHOC and Real Housewives! I’m so excited to watch more. I have a feeling next season of Orange County will be epic. Stay tuned, loves.
The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 14 reunion airs part II on Monday, December 23 and Part III on Thursday, December 26 on Bravo TV.
