The Real Housewives of Dallas sat down with Andy Cohen for a wild two-part reunion special, and Bravo has now released the trailer for it. All of the drama that has been brewing this season is set to be addressed by the Real Housewives. For starters, LeeAnne Locken had to defend herself against the allegations of racism this season from Brandi Redmond and other co-stars. Plus, Stephanie Hollman dives into her friendship with Kameron Westcott and what the future of their friendship will be.
Stephanie is shown questioning her friendship with Kameron and stated, “If you were my friend you would listen to me and treat me like a human being and not like a dog.”
LeeAnne says on camera that she has “a lot to say” to the rest of the cast, and D’Andra Simmons is heard saying that LeeAnne is going to get “a taste of [her] own medicine.”
LeeAnne addressed the controversy and said that she uses “that word all the time” and didn’t think she intentionally did anything wrong. She said she thought there was “nothing wrong by using someone’s nationality.” Andy asked her why she thought the phrase “chirpy Mexican” would be okay. Kameron added, “You made horrible mistakes.” To which D’Andra said, “I believe you did it with bad intentions. I do not believe you are that ignorant.”
Brandi added, “To use that over and over again is racism.” Karry asked, “How can you not look at that and see how you are? And by the way, I never called myself ‘Mexican and strong,’ ever.”
However; the ladies don’t all feel she’s actually racist. Kameron explained, “I’m not going to stereotype her as a racist… No.” Some of the wives do, though. Brandi said, “I’m sorry to say, but yes.”
LeeAnne had released a public apology on social media: “I am deeply sorry to those that I have hurt or offended with some of my comments on Real Housewives of Dallas Season 4. It was never my intention to hurt anyone and I will use this as a learning experience to be more aware of my comments in the future. My commitment moving forward is to continue my work fighting for equality and acceptance of all humans.”
Part one of The Real Housewives of Dallas season four reunion airs on January 1 at 9 p.m. on Bravo TV.
