Could Tori Spelling be joining the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for real this time? Rumors have been swirling for awhile that Tori wants to join the cast and she even joked about it months back. Now according to Radar Online, Tori wants to join the RHOBH more than ever after the cancellation of the 90210 reboot she starred in.
It’s being reported that Tori is calling Andy Cohen to ask for a spot on the cast roster. Sources said, “She is freaking out because the 90210 show was her moneymaker. She thinks now is the time, except she is delusional because she doesn’t have enough money to be a Housewife!”
According to insiders, “Fox told the cast they were guaranteed two seasons, but in the fine print there was an out clause that included a low threshold for ratings. She’s also looking at doing more reality TV because her career is over with scripted TV.”
Tori and her husband, Dean McDermott, were sued by American Express Bank in January of 2016 for failing to pay some of her credit card bills. She was then ordered to pay back a whopping $87,594.55 in October of 2016. In August of 2019, American Express Bank filed a Writ of Execution. They also asked the County of Los Angeles enforce the $88,391.25 judgment that she owes them.
In addition, Tori and Dean were sued by City National bank for failing to pay back a huge loan for $400,000. The bank was awarded a judgment of $202,066 in 2017. They claimed they were not paid, and a bench warrant was issued after she didn’t appear in court. The warrant was dissolved in April, and Tori agreed to provide documents during a meeting with her attorneys. Tori also owes over a million dollars in federal and state taxes.
Tori was being paid $70,000 per episode on top of an additional $15,000 per episode for co-creating the show.
According to sources, Tori is searching work and trying “to figure out how she can leverage her money and move forward” after the reboot. They added, “She’s discouraged because they’ve been telling her she’s only as good as her last project, and that has failed. So she feels like a failure.”
I’m all for Tori joining the RHOBH! She was in the original 90210 series that was created by her father, Aaron Spelling, and she has lived in Beverly Hills her whole life. As she’s said in the past, her zip code has always been 90210 so she fits in. I think it would bring an interesting dynamic to the series.
Thoughts on this all? Do you think Tori will officially join the RHOBH? Will Andy approve this casting decision? What do you want to see next season? Sound off below!
