Shady business practices?
Gretchen Rossi and Slade Smiley are being called out for allegedly selling misleading CBD products.
CBD is EVERYWHERE lately. It’s literally one of the hottest products on the market and is flying off the shelves left and right as it’s said to help with everything from anxiety, pain relief, and anxiety just to name a few. CBD can be found in various forms and products including patches, drops, candies, beauty products and so on.
However, it seems that the claims made by most companies about CBD may be too good to be true. Plus, it seems that many brands may be fibbing about how much CBD their products actually contain.
Inside Edition recently sent samples from several popular CBD brands to a lab to have their CBD levels tested. Turns out the results were quite shocking. According to lab reports, the CBD levels found in the products didn’t match the percentages listed on the labels.
One CBD brand included in the test was Bio Reigns, which is owned by former Real Housewives of Orange County couple Grethen and Slade.
It seems that the label on one of Bio Reigns products claims it has 560 mg of CBD; however, tests show that it only contains about 1 mg.
When questioned about the findings Slade insisted the labels were correct because “that’s the amount that’s in the bottle.”
Slade said the amount of CBD in the product “should be about 2%” but Insider Edition says they found much less.
Gretchen added, “If this label is misleading in any way, I want to make sure that we change it.”
According to Insider Edition, the product label has since been changed.
The Real Housewives of Orange County air Tuesdays at 9 pm EST on Bravo.
