Who said there was no drama in Beverly Hills this year?
According to The Blast, Erika’s husband Tom Girardi is fighting back at allegations that his law firm refuses to pay a $40,000 bill in the latest legal drama for the Pasadena power couple.
According to documents obtained by The Blast, Tom is denying allegations of wrongdoing in the lawsuit claiming that Girardi’s law firm owes over $40,000.
In recently filed court docs, Girardi’s firm says they did nothing wrong and denies that consulting company JJ Jackson suffered any damages.
So what went down? The original complaint said JJ Jackson was hired by Girardi’s firm back in 2016. They were hired to provide consulting services for one of Girardi’s clients, the Ischemia Research and Education Foundation (IREF .) Well, the firm is now accusing the consulting company of causing their own issues with negligence and Girardi’s firm is asking for the entire lawsuit to be tossed in addition to requesting that the legal bills paid.
Naturally, there is a he/said she/said issue as JJ Jackson claims that Girardi’s firm agreed to pay the debt that IREF owed “for previously-unpaid invoices on the same case, should IREF fail to pay the debt by January 2018.”
The company accused IREF of failing to make the payments; therefore the company is now demanding payment from Girardi and his firm in the amount of $40,167.69.
The suit claimed Thomas Girardi responded by saying, “I will get this resolved within the next 30 days. This is the first I heard of the bill.”
This is just the latest in legal drama for Mr. Girardi as he has been involved in lawsuits in which claims were made that Girard was using funds to sustain their lavish lifestyle and maintain their glamorous public image.
Personally I think Tom Girardi is a very intelligent lawyer and I have a hard time believing that he would make a mistake over $40K. Appearing on the RHOBH seems to have brought a lot of attention to Tom and his firm so time will tell as to how much truth there is to this case.
What are your thoughts? Do you think where there’s smoke there’s fire or do you see this case being thrown out?
