Teresa Giudice is the author of Standing Strong, and she is standing by her man!
Teresa recently appeared at BravoCon in New York City and defended her husband, Joe Giudice. Teresa attended the event with her fellow co-stars of The Real Housewives of New Jersey: Dolores Catania, Melissa Gorga, Jackie Goldschneider, Margaret Josephs, and Jennifer Aydin. During the appearance, she defended her husband during their one-on-one interview special and his behavior on the RHONJ. Plus, Dolores weighed in!
Teresa said, “I’m used to Joe, so to me, that was good, Joe. I know how Joe is.”
She also explained that she would put him in his place if he acted some type of way. Teresa explained, “On the show, he would act like a macho guy. I would never take that. The way you saw him on the show being an ass—, he wasn’t like that in person. When we were one on one around the kids, he wouldn’t act like that. But around the people, he acted; however, he acted. Otherwise, I wouldn’t put up with that s—. I would be flipping tables all over the place!”
Teresa said, “I had a lot of time to think when Joe was gone. I tell him all the time, ‘You were such an ass on the show.'” However, she said he realizes it, too! Tre explained, “Now that he was in jail, he would watch the show and say, ‘Yeah, I was an ass.'”
Teresa’s good friend for decades, Dolores, also had some feelings on the topic. At BravoCon, Dolores shared her thoughts on The Real Housewives of New Jersey Special Event: Joe and Teresa Unlocked. Dolores said, watching it, “I was mad.” She didn’t like the way he was acting towards Teresa, and Dolores was feeling very protective of her – naturally. Teresa added, Dolores had called her and, “She’s like, that f–ing a–hole.”
During a podcast interview with Bravo’s The Daily Dish, Dolores said Teresa had “matured” during her time away, but she felt like Joe had not. Dolores said, “I didn’t see a difference in him that much, which I would have liked to have seen more. Like butter couldn’t melt in his mouth.”
At The Garden State Dishes the Dirt panel, Dolores shared, “I don’t want her to be used to somebody talking to her like that. Talk to me in two years and let me think if that’s how she’s used to being talked to like that. I just want someone to speak softly and nice to her.”
Dolores knows that whether Teresa and Joe stay married or not – is still up in the air. Dolores did share, though, “You’re going to meet a lot of different people now, that’s all I have to say. If things go the way, they might. I don’t care; I’m a friend; I’m going to say it. If things don’t work out, you’re going to see how the rest of the world talks to women.”
Teresa shared how her four daughters are doing after they all visited Joe in Italy. She said, “They’re still really missing Joe. You guys will see that play out, but I’m happy for him, I’m happy that he’s free. It’s a very emotional trip. I cried a lot. It takes a lot for me to cry, but I cried a lot. It’s so emotional.”
Teresa also thanked her fans for standing by her. She shared, “I thank you for all your love and support. It really means a lot.”
She’s proud of Joe for remaining in ICE for so long and for continuing to fight. Joe and Teresa are currently still fighting his deportation verdict. Teresa stated, “He keeps saying, ‘I should never have sat there in ICE for 7 months.’ He keeps saying, ‘I could have saw [my kids] sooner.’ But I keep saying, ‘If you didn’t, they wouldn’t have known you were fighting. Now his daughters know he did fight. They were like, done with it. They were like, ‘Daddy, it’s enough. You have to get out of there.'”
Teresa’s trip to Italy with her daughters was filmed for Bravo, and viewers will get to watch the family being reunited.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey airs on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. EST on Bravo.
I agree with everything Teresa and Dolores had to say. I’m glad that Dolores is such a good friend to her. Friends are supposed to support you and react that way during those types of situations. I’m so happy that Teresa and Joe were able to reunite as a family with their four daughters in Italy.
I’m looking forward to watching it air, and I wish that family all the best!
